This is like DeJa Vu all over sgain. Every year after USATFs and just off the plane in Europe athletes run poorly and people jump all over them, only to eat their words the following week.

this wasn't Martin's first race in Europe but Douglas Burke's right that these guys (other than Andrews) are running on empty and need to either take a break from racing and train for the post-Olympics races or bag it and start putting in a base for next year. Andrews hasn't raced much this year and is a pro for the first time, so he should keep at it and get experience. He should come around. That talent didn't just go away. 3:31-2's not his ultimate ceiling. He dropped a ton of time in one American race and so can surely drop a lot more in Europe but perhaps not this year.
Vig is a great coach! Definitely on most people's top 10 list of best XC and mid-distance coaches in the country. He had quite the odd couple to work with this year in Webb and Andrews. Would love to see him return to the college ranks - as he seems to have a real knack at that level... especially when he goes hard core and puts on the running shoes himself!
Is this a joke? He will never be allowed to coach at the collegiate level again.
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
