Geneseo will not see Cortland until SUNYACS.
Fixed that for you, everyone knows teams don't race until regionals.

Is tempoing not running?

Geneseo has its home meet. Are NOT running Paul Short
I think NYU looked pretty good this past weekend. Oja, Karten, and Bonilla could all finish in the top 10 at regionals. Part of me wants to call Oja FTW at regionals; this past weekend he finished in front of two national qualifiers in the 5k.
Paycheck looked like he got his act together against a good field. Having a pack is nice but if UofR wants to get 2nd as a team Paycheck and Brimstien can't hang back and run low 26s.
St. Lawrence might be running for a nationals birth this Friday at Paul Short. I know we are not in the part of the season at officially gets reviewed by the committee but these big meets go a long way in determining the reputation of the region. If SLU runs poorly on Friday and gets fifth later this season at regionals, Rakoc will be flying to nationals alone. I think Rakoc runs well this weekend but I bet they are a 4th and 5th runner away from being a legit national caliber team.
Brockport looked good. Morgan Payne from Utica had a very nice race at Williams. TCNJ had fewer freshmen in their top five this week but they still make me uneasy.
1. Geneseo
2. NYU
3. Cortland
4. Rochester
5. SLU
6. RPI
7. TCNJ
8. Buff State
9. Oneonta
10. Brockport
I agree with most of what you said, but I would arrange the region a little differently at this point in the season.
1. Geneseo
2. Rochester
3. Cortland
4. NYU
5. SLU
6. TCNJ
7. Ithaca
8. Buff State
9. Fredonia
10. Brockport

Why no RPI? I think they are a little over rated but they'll have all five guys under 26:30 at regionals. If they do that it'll be tough to keep them out of the top 7 or so.
How's the weather in Cortland right now bro?
I don't have RPI in the top 10 because they don't deserve to be in the top 10. They haven't even raced a 8k yet. Right now, they don't deserve to be a top 10 team. They have run a 4k, a 3 mile, and sent a B team to Williams. I am not saying they won't be in the top 10 the next few weeks but right now they are not. You will know more about RPI after Paul Short.
The real question is what have they done to deserve to be in the top 10?
Buff State has beaten Fredonia and Brockport. Fredonia has beaten Brockport. Thats the 8-10. Buff State really should be the 7, because they did beat Ithaca at Pre-Regionals, but they those two teams are pretty evenly matched.
Didn't realize mid-season transfers were a thing, but this should help give Rochester the edge over Cortland, while dealing Geneseo a pretty bad blow.
"No way does your number one runner run 26:19 and deserve to be #12 team in the nation no matter what the conditions were."
Followed by, "Cortland on the other hand did impress me. Averaged 19:11 for 6k on a sloppy course."
So conditions for Rochester don't matter to you, yet Cortland gets more credit for running on a sloppy course? Typical LR bias.

My top 10 moving forward, nothing too out of the ordinary:
1. NYU (That top 3 is so solid that it will be tough for them to slip up at Regionals)
2a. Geneseo
2b. Cortland (impossible to separate these teams until one of them really races all out, if they remember how to.)
4. Rochester (I like the fact that they've got some racing under their belt this year
5. RPI
6. St. Lawrence (Watch out for these guys in years to come!)
7. Buff State (just keep showing more and more talent)
8a. TCNJ
8b. Ithaca
10. Fredonia (Looking for a real Dark Horse pick to get in that top 5?)

Funny that you bring these rankings up. However, Coach Susan believes that you forgot to take a couple of hidden variables into account for this particular region:
1) Who will Susaned out after a night of partying at Chuck E Cheese, which includes, but isn't limited to, excessive pizza consumption and dehydration from sweating while playing skee ball? (Rochester may be hurt here).
nothing too out of the ordinary.
2) Due to the fact that they are an endangered species, the world will be watching for the birth of a hyperbolic pastrami chick being born somewhere in the northeastern seaboard. Will this become a distraction in anticipation for this groundbreaking event? (Note: expectant date around november 17th. this, however, will be equally important for all teams).
Why do you guys give TCNJ so much credit? No way they are in the top 10
Finished 7th at Pre Regionals, 6th if you take out Cornell
