I ran hard every race back in the day, and regionals was always one of my better races.
Of course, I never did make nationals.

Let's face it. Cortland, RPI, & TCNJ wouldn't be competitive in the Gold race. They probably wanted to hold back to race in the Brown race where there will be more teams in the D3 class. They could also challenge for the Brown title.
But Cortland beat St. Lawrence last weekend running tempo!

I drank ketchup once. Not the green kind though. Not ever.
And smoking weed boiii
What is a tempo run, im starting to get confused by all these posts about people saying that teams no longer race in races but just tempo
your mom thought i was going all out with her last night, but turns out i was just tempoing... cant waste my energy on a bitch, gotta save it for the big dogs
So if Cortland can "tempo" at ~5:20 pace for three miles then they should be able to run...about 25:00 for 8k?

Agreed but why would St. Lawrence be in the gold race, its not like they have a big front runner like Plattsburg did a few years ago when they were in the gold race.
Even if they run well they will be in the back 3rd of the race except maybe Rakoc. In the Brown race they will be at the front running against their competition at regionals.
Why wouldn't St. Lawrence run in the most competitive field possible? Granted, Cortland is more deserving this year. The Gold race is a great opportunity to run in a fast, national caliber race.
Any results in from Williams, Houghton, or Jack Daniels?
the meet administration for paul short probably figured cortland was going to just tempo anyway so they decided to put a team in the gold that would actually race
I'm calling Cortland for the W in the Brown race, heard Fannon's opening up his season at Paul Short too.
Houghton Results... heard it was pretty muddy ? anyone there able to confirm or deny ?
Muddy course after a period of hard rainfall during the womens race.
Congrats to the Guarino brothers for once again proving they have nothing better to do than race in college races. What an accomplishment..
