Aisling Cuffe has some real chance in the race, her times among the best.

Thanks and Kenya bags its first gold! What a great race by Mercy Chebwogen! And very good at leaning too!
Good result from Gorecka too. At least we actually know she's a junior.
Men's 1500 heats were hilarious.
Aisling Cuffe had ran that time indoor I thought she might do well but she did not even match her indoor PB outdoors. The Kenya girl has a Vivian Cheruiyot kind of kick and she is not even the best there, Ethiopians also left their best home, the british girl Gorecka did well too she held on but, she did not have much in reserve at the end. The ladies really looked like Juniors. But, I wont get into the politics of who is a junior and who is a junior

In all fairness, the Kenyans in that race did actually look like juniors for a change (the Ethiopians less so.)
Perhaps when you say that the Kenyans/Ethiopians 'left their best at home' we perhaps mean they actually took some real juniors instead of those pretending to be.
I personally enjoyed that Moroccan/Qatari and the Eritrean (amongst others) in the 1500. Men's distance races at the world juniors are an absolute farce.
The mens 1000M should be all East Africans.
The 1500 m had some of the boys looking a bit rugged but, but life in third world countries can be very difficult and might age someone, that explains some but Qatar and Morocco are not exactly poor. Qatar is actually very rich so their ages are a bit fake. I am not the one to cast aspersions on anyone's age, but, one of the Eritreans was not a junior despite the harshness of where he comes fromThe best Ethiopians and Kenyans decided to run for money, I guess at at least that is what the announcer said. I was just parroting what he said

Again, I have to concede that the 1500 Kenyans did actually look like juniors this time.
Maybe they are cracking down.

Geoffrey Kipkorir Kirui is in the final for the 10000. The "kid" is #2 all time at 10k behind Wanjiru. Ran 26:55 last year in Brussels. Rupp beat him by 7 seconds in that race.
#2 all time junior
The only consolation is that at the Olympics/world championships, age does not matter. If Kipkorir is not a junior then his career will soon be over because of father time. I worry more about PEDs that age cheating. But again we have no evidence, and we can only infer from pictures.
