I don't have an oar in this, but it sounds like he's just putting a positive spin on getting fired. And it doesn't sound like he has a new job he's moving to at this time, he seems to be clearly saying he's looking at options...
Areson. Twittering about her freedom from OP. Even if she didn't like it and left, keep your opinions to yourself. She will never be given a sweet deal like that again nor such amazing facilities. Especially given her potential is no Shalane, Huddle or D' Agg.

This isn't a saying.
All 3 marathoners are ahead of Jackie in the 3k-5k-10k and marathon. They just chose the marathon this year. Same with Hastings.
Jackie is not top 5 in any event on her best day.

That's not a word.

Her sponsor is Nike, not the OP

D'Agostino's potential isn't infinite. Look at her high school times.
And look at D'Ag's progression from those high school times in only two years. She is obviously very talented and is consistently improving (unlike many high school phenoms or record setters). Her potential is certainly at least equal with what Shalane or Molly Huddle have accomplished, barring injury.
That said, Areson is young and has great potential as well. She has a long history of peaking early (for instance, running best indoors versus outdoors in college), and her not making the team was not a surprise to me (albeit her performance in the prelim was surprisingly poor). She has a bright, sub-15 future and Nike would be wise to keep her.
those who leave for a new job already have a job lined up. Magness basically said he had nowhere to go.
Mags will take the Illinois job for now and eventually the Head job at Rice. And he will be happy.
so what about lindsey allen? i thought magness was coaching her too. she is still sponsored by nike but who will coach her?
Head job at Rice! Are you kidding?

If his contract ends in January, then possibly Alberto and Nike gave him 5 months or so to find a place to land.
his contract has ended. it ended after the trials

He's a strict Catholic, you could say lapsed then born again Catholic, it's pretty unlikely that he exceeds his few drink limit very often.
LOL...That is one of the funniest things I've ever read. As if strict Catholics are tea totaler.... yeah, strict Catholics don't drink. And strict Catholic priests both don't drink, and they don't molest kids. Yup.
