Thanks. I didn't know about change of venue. Or forgot. That happens when you get old.

Also, if you watch the Ivy League's video, they got the number wrong: it was the 37th women's championship, not the 36th.
They also identified Artie Smith as Rich Bowman!
Looks like they fixed a couple errors in a slightly different version now posted but they still spelled K. Kellner's name wrong and don't have their math right on which championship it was:

Much credit to the Princeton men on [...] beating the rest of the League combined
I feel like this isn't getting enough attention. In track Princeton and Cornell sometimes each outscore the other 6 combined, but for one team to beat ALL 7 other schools? Unbelievable.

It's been done before--the most recent time *that I can recall* was when the Princeton women went 1-2-3-4-5, a few years back--but it's a hell of a feat, for sure. The Cornell women didn't pull it off this year, even after going 1-2-3.

You mean faster right?
Yes - sorry - Princeton is *about* 45 seconds faster than VCP. At least given good conditions on both courses.
Affleck - thanks for the compliment.
It is always fun to work at a meet with people incharge (meet management and officials) who make it easy for you.
Right from the start with the man directing parking greeting you with a "Thank you and welcome to Princeton", to The Ivy League admin who were very welcoming and helpful, to the Princeton meet management who even at one point went out of the way to tell people to stay back so not to get in the way of the photogs. and the meet officials who were able to do thier job without making themselves the center of attention (very rare)
To some these may seem like minor items, but there have been way too many meets I have attended where all the groups mentioned above simply don't get "it"

Yep: back in 2009.
1. Liz Costello (Princeton), 16:55.7
2. Alex Banfich (Princeton), 17:12.9
3. Sarah Cummings (Princeton), 17:15.5
4. Ashley Higginson (Princeton), 17:18.0
5. Reilly Kiernan (Princeton), 17:21.5
6. Claire Richardson (Harvard), 17:28.1
And they almost did it in 2008, but Harvard's Richardson split it up.
1. Liz Costello (Princeton), 16:59.9
2. Megan Brandeland (Princeton), 17:34.8
3. Reilly Kiernan (Princeton), 17:36.3
4. Claire Richardson (Harvard), 17:43.0
5. Alexa Glencer (Princeton), 17:43.4
6. Sarah Cummings (Princeton), 17:44.0
Okay, so:
Anybody know of any MORE photos/video from the meet?
John Nepolitan's stuff is outstanding!--I guess I'm mostly remembering a couple of decent race videos that people put together last year, but of course photos from another photog would be welcome, as well--I'm sure they'd include other angles/action.
Best of luck to all Heps folks in the East. The Hudson is already over its banks and inching toward the West Village in NYC--and they say we could see another ten feet (?) of storm surge.
I can tell you that putting on the NYC Marathon this weekend is going to be a tremendous challenge. Once this storm passes, it'll take a nonstop cleanup effort to clear some of the streets.
I know everyone wants to get training in, but please make safe choices. Winds can blow heavy, hard, and sharp things a long way at high speeds.
And be aware that, the worse the weather is, the MORE that drivers look only straight ahead, and never watch for pedestrians. I've already seen a person on foot who was a single step from getting killed--somebody grabbed the back of his jacket *just* in time. The car never slowed--driver never saw him, I'm sure.
Be well.

Includes finishes of both races (sorry if athlete names are off), and interviews with a number of runners.

Ok, now that Heps is done, Regionals and NCAAs are the main items left on the docket for XC.
Northeast Regional (hosted by Yale and Fairfield) - Hammonasset State Park, Madison, Conn.
http://www.yalebulldogs.com/ncaaxcregional/index
Mid-Atlantic Regional - University Park, PA
http://www.gopsusports.com/sports/c-xc/2012-ncaa.html
So Cornell women and Princeton men, provided that they race well, will likely make the team cut for their respective regions.
If Abbey is back up to form, she'll make it individually for NE.
Columbia men and Yale women both have uphill battles, but they could make it in if they place well within Regionals (meaning top 5) as they might have enough points to push themselves in (don't quote me on this as I have not calculated it out).
Any ideas on who else will make it in, team or individually? I think Brown could get two girls in (Mickle and Connelly) while Dartmouth men could sneak in one or two (Geohhegan and/or Royer). Not sure about Harvard men as they seem to be up and down, and the Harvard women might have too many people finishing ahead of them to get any individuals in.
Can anyone make it to either of the Regional meets? I thought I could make it to the Mid-Atlantic one but I no longer am able to.
Hammonasset took a lot of damage from the hurricane, and Heps Track was wondering if they could still hold the meet there.
Paul Harkins of Yale, who is hosting the meet, sent out several tweets from the park this morning, and it looks like they'll be able to hold it as scheduled.
After their Wisco finish, Columbia men just have to finish top 4 to go. They'll have points for days.
Maksim from Harvard--early leader and extremely strong finisher--impressed me. I could see him qualifying individually.
Dunno why, but the H men just strike me as being more resilient this year. I think they'll have an excellent Regional race. (Full disclosure: I haven't been a fan of Harvard since Dave Pottetti beat Jon Anderson and Phil Ritson in the indoor Heps two-mile--but credit where it's due!)
As expected, Columbia and Princeton men, Cornell women, Korolev, Leakos, and D'Agostino. Perhaps slightly surprising were Feldman and Connelly.

And the Harvard women showed some of the ability that had been expected of them for the last few years. Congrats to them for making it to the Dance.
