Someone making 50k a year is not poor and if they are living off of food stamps they deserve to get their asses kicked. I didn't have food stamps and lived off less than 20k.
Next, why should be feel sorry for any professional athlete? Athletics should all be amateur. If you get sponorships on top of that, great, but why should I feel bad for someone who gets paid to do something that doesn't add anything to society?
