That picture is amazing. I love it.
I've never understood why Felix runs the 100. She's so much better at the 400, not to mention the 200. Watching her run the 100 is like watching Michael Jordan play baseball.

Don't they need four anyway? Are they planning to go with only three figuring there's no sense entering a relay because they will only screw up the baton exchanges like the men usually do?
dat ass on felix

Really?? your right they do need 4 for the relay but what a bout the open 100. You know the whole theme of the Olympic Trials is top 3. How many times have the announcers said the dreaded 4th position.

Nope try again. That is Felix's.
I noticed at the time that she had stepped on the line before anything else from either of them was even close.
I figure Felix will make the 200. That will give both of them an open and a relay.

It's already been declared a tie, but when I zoom in on the finish line photo with the line drawn on it, I see white pixels from lane one's chest are past the line. Lane one looks like the winner to me.
Wow, after two days these Olympic Trials are spectacular. When has there been so much to talk about after just 2 days? Can't wait for more. What's next a 5 way Photo finish in the 1500's?!?!?!
I saw that too. Just ignore it. Nike and the photo finish experts are.
Allyson is pretty thats all that matters.
Not sure if this muddies the water, but according to the 2011 USATF rule book, in the case of ties that can't be broken, you're supposed to draw lots.
So Felix and Tarmoh are going to flip a coin?
RULE 167 RUNNING EVENT TIES
1. In determining whether there has been a tie for a qualifying position for the next round based on time, the Photo Finish Judge shall consider the actual time recorded by the competitors without regard to the rule that the time should be read to the next longer 1/100th of a second.
Whether by time or finishing place, if it is determined that there has been a tie, the tying competitors shall be placed in the next round if it is practical to do so. If that is not practical, lots shall be drawn to determine who shall be placed in the next round.
Here's the link....p. 86, rule 167:

Unfortunately you can't say for certain if those pixels are her bib or the track; the pixels appear whiter than both.
A suggestion for the future: don't use white bib numbers. Obviously they blend in with the white of the finish line. In a case like this, it could have helped determine the team.
they better be ready for more of this, the women's 800 has about 6 ladies who are going to finish within 1 second of eachother!

Dude your an idiot for saying this. You realize that the women's 100 had all 8 within about .4 seconds. I think they can handle 6 within a second, even though that is unlikely
Are they still deliberating?! They have to make a decision tonight. Can't keep both of these women waiting like this. There's no way either will get any sleep tonight not knowing what will happen (although they may not anyway). This is absolute insanity. Literally no updates on twitter or anywhere for over an hour now.
ummm yes. There were 6 within .72 today just in qualifiers. Bet it is a photo finish. And their breasts are just as small.

No there weren't. They were in different heats. That is not the same thing.
ya, the 800 will be way closer! will be the race of the trials.
Those pixels aren't clearly Tarmoh's bib. They could be, but its impossible to tell. If they are Tarmoh won. Tarmoh had a better lean if you go off shoulder angle.

Dead heat.
If anything this is a photo of how not to lean in a 100m.
