Athleticos @athleticos_live
Kenenisa Bekele wins in 27.02.59 with a blinding finish, the big man is back! #Aviva2012Trials
BEKELE is BACK
27:02.59
Kenenisa blew them away.
Mo's not going to have it all his way. Could be one of the great races, if not Tergat/Geb then something pretty special!
It was windy according to the commentators, don't how bad though. Looks like KB is still the man.
Is this the correct finishing order?

This is good, faster and faster, little by little. I hope he kicks some butt in London.

1 Kenenisa BEKELE ETH 27:02.59
2 Tariku BEKELE ETH 27:03.24
3 Gebre GEBREMARIAM ETH 27:03.58
4 Sileshi SIHINE ETH 27:03.65
5 Moses KIPSIRO UGA 27:04.48
6 Thomas AYEKO UGA 27:43.22
Anyone who ever thought Kenenisa MF Bekele was done is an idiot. The Distance King is gonna reign again for the Olympics. Looks like Rupper's medal chances dwindled yet again as there is no way in hell he beats Bekele or Farah

So who gets the third team spot at the Olympics?
Geb Geb or Desisa
I would take Geb Geb

Shocking that in Olympic year in the trials no Brit could run 27:40, they were running faster 40 yrs ago
Wasn't really a trial race for the Brits though was it? (I know it was officially, but the guys with the A standards weren't in it.)
Unless you meant that people were running faster than Mo 40 years ago?
You've been coaching for a while now. How come none of your athletes were in there dominating?

According to this no Brit has the A standard this season.
http://www.thepowerof10.info/rankings/rankinglist.aspx?event=10000&agegroup=ALL&sex=M&year=2012Going as far back as 2006 only Mo and Chris Thompson have gone under 27:40 (2011). Mo is in a league of his own really.
"I hope to show to the world great things. Absolutely I am back, 100%," said Bekele..."
"It was just a bit windy so it's very difficult to run faster."
