earlier today i did see a list of people CU was bringing to TH. They're bringing about 15 guys, all registered with competition numbers. Among those on the list was Dathan the terrible. Who knows if he will actually race. Just telling you what i saw.

So, if somebody is redshirting, why would they be listed on the roster. I am not talking about Ritz inparticular, but I have seen some other teams and I know for a fact that some of the people on other teams are red shirting. I wonder if that effects the red shirt season? Why would someone get a competion number if red shirting. I am actually not trying to be sarcastic either.

Well, now the latest word on the street (and said street is Maple Dr. in Newark, N.J.) is that Ritz will not run, but he will donate a pint of semen to the Terre Haute sperm bank. To assist in this noble gesture, please send your "Juggs" and "Barely Legal" magazines to the Terre Haute Sperm Bank, 100 Beetitoff Rd., Terre Haute, IN.

X,
As long as they do not run in any meets during the year, a runner can be listed on a roster without jeopordizing a redshirt. They can also travel with the team as a redshirt as long as they do not run periord, which includes unattatched. -
Teams send in their rosters several weeks before the meet so that all entries can be put into the computer, and race programs. Most teams send their entire roster of anyone who might potentially race, even if the chance is very slim. If a runner has redshirted all year, just being entered in a meet will not effect eligibility, unless the person actually runs.

I don't know if D2 rules are different than D1; but as a D2 runner we weren't even allowed to travel with the team as an unattachted redshirt.
