BTW, has there been a Russell Brown sighting since Doha?
He still has the #1 USA time.

Look at these names!!! Freakin.. MILLER! Leer!..Pifer..See
Where has C. Miller been anyway. Didn't he have some serious heart problem or something like that. These names are like guys rising from the grave. They are back!!!
Yea didn't Craig Miller have some big hole in his heart. Like his brother had to save his freakin heart from exploding on some run they were doing?

Problem is that the Africans are making 3:29 the new 3:35. American milers need to raise their game (again) if they want a shot at doing anything besides getting into the OG.
Hate it when people say these things without doing any research.
Only four men have run 3:30 and below in the last two years: Kiprop, Kiplagat, Chepseba and Souleiman.
http://www.iaaf.org/statistics/toplists/inout=o/age=n/season=2012/sex=M/all=n/legal=A/disc=1500/detail.htmlIs the conversion 17 seconds flat to the mile. A shade better? So like what he had a 3:52 mile conversion. Not to bad! But yea...oh well these guys are all greats maybe they will get it down for the big dance.
Russell Brown is around. He ran the International Mile at Pre, and paced Acosta (800) and McNamara (1500) this Saturday in Eugene.
Heartbreaker, really. McNamamara missed the Olympic A by .15 of a second.
Very underated training group in Columbus (soon to be Furman) that may be behind Nike-sponsored Oregon groups they way running right now. Are they a USA sponsored training group?
Dan Huling (8:13 st, 13:22, 3:37)
Jeff See (3:35)
Brian Olinger (8:19 st, 13:23, 27:50)
Cory Leslie (1:47, 3:39, 8:32 st)

Great run for See, he should be a tough guy to beat at the Trials. He can close fast off of a slow pace and he's strong enough to run well in multiple rounds. Dark horse!
Me and 3 of my girlfriends all have intimate experience with Jeff's ability to "close fast"!
Don't give too much credit to Gary, he had See in the steeplechase last year before having him run his best event!
Its amazing what Thyroid medicine will do for you. Know where the years before and all the sudden running 3:35.....
The Americans set the medium bar, and the Africans set the high bar in distance running. Both the US and Kenya produce the most 3:35 1500 meter runners in the world.
I have followed his career through high school and college and Jeff See also has never been in a fast 1500 in his life until this year with Oxy and then rabbitted by teammates last night.
Been stuck at 3:40 maybe due to thyroid condition, but moreso never getting into a fast time-trialed race like many of the other Americans.
Led the last 350 meters with Bolas, Leer, Batty, Miller all lined up behind him.
Video?
It was the sushi!
And the 1500 olympic trials plot thickens once again.
It's good to see Fernandez close to his 1500 pr. I can't wait to see what he can do when he gets a long stretch of uninterrupted training in.
Sam Vasquez? Is this his first big result since he was a freshman at Arkansas?
Does he practice that tuck and roll finish?
I know Wheating is more talented, but runners like See have the A standard and go into the trails with that psychological advantage.
Yea, I think so. Impressive perseverance and talent
