From someone who was at the meet and near the finish line thought for Hasay got 2nd.
I had a seat a few rows up right at the finish. Hasay was clearly 3rd, but in another second or two she might have had it given her closing speed.
Sorry Vin, you must have had a bad angle. She would have won at Hayward, no doubt.
I'd say the womens races this year were far more interesting and exciting than the guys!
Hasay was 2nd, doesn't really matter though.
You guys know the meet was auto-timed, right? That they have highly accurate phototiming equipment that gives accurate results?
Is this some new kind of trolling, or do you guys really believe you "well, I saw this..." trumps the photo timing.
Silly stuff aside, that was a great race. Would have loved to see Hasay in the mix in the 5K with Abbey and Goethals, but I'm guessing Vin knows what he's doing here.
I'll say this about Infeld and Hasay....both have been so remarkably consistent throughout their careers. Virtually every big championship race, these two are in contention. They might not win, but they are right there every time. Cross Country, Indoor, Outdoor, 1500, 3k, 5k...doesn't matter. They are both right there virtually every time. Impressive.
Here is the video:
I wonder what Hasay and Infeld will run at the Trials. Anyone know?

Not sure I understand this. Hasay was in a really good position, but was just not good enough.
Her kick wasn't really there, the reason why she lost is because she didn't finish fast enough. She was in the best position coming round the final bend.
