The Proclaimers - I'm Gonna Be (500 miles)
They would walk 500 miles and they would walk 500 more just to be the men who walked 1,000 miles to fall down at your door.
With the chorus repeated they get like 8,000 miles per song.
Multiply that by the number of times it has been on the radio or on TV and that is a whole lot of mileage off of one song.
The Proclaimers - Letter From America. Reached no.3 in the UK charts

However, they had other hits, so you are wrong. Letter from America being one
Gerardo's "We Want the Funk"
#16 on Billboard charts

Definitely in the Top 3...
Gary Glitter - Rock and Roll (The Hey Song)
Wwo, there are some tards on the boards today. Gary Glitter had 10 or 11 top ten hits in the UK in the seventies, making the description 'one hit wonder' a bit of a stretch
Terry Jacks' Seasons in the Sun. Possibly the worst #1 song and one hit wonder of all time.
Sisco- Thong Song.
end of thread.
Jeez people, do your research. A one hit wonder is just that. Some of you are naming artists who had another hit song.
Baha Men- "Who Let the Dogs Out?"
Autograph- "Turn up the radio" 80's hair band
Shocking Blue- "Venus" from the 60's. Bananarama did a cover version in the 80's
The Beatles - I want to hold you hand

Aha is not a one hit wonder.
"The Final Countdown" - Europe. End of Thread.
Lee Greenwood, if not precisely a OHW, gets a ton of play from Proud to be an American.

Johnny Nash - I Can See Clearly.
The Trashmen - Surfin Bird
Hot Chocolate - Brother Louie
Johnny Nash sang "Stir it Up" as well as "Hold Me Tight".
Hot Chocolate didn't sing "Brother Louie" in the US...that was The Stories...who had a couple of lesser hits as well.
Hot Chocolate in the US had "You Sexy Thing" and "Everyone is a winner" amongst others.

Wrong. wrong, wrong. Europe had another hit song back in the day. It was called "Rock the Night" and it got very heavy rotation on the radio and on MTV- when they actually played music videos.
Here's the video:

If I recall, that was by The Nylons. They also had another song that got a lot of radio play, not sure if the correct title is "The Lion Sleeps Tonight".
I remember this because every time we were heading to a race and The Nylons came on the radio, I had a bad race. My teammates used to laugh about it.
