the pacing in that race was messed up. the 2nd kilometer was about 10 seconds slower than the first. pacing was all screwed up and they could have run closer to low 12:50's if the rabbit wasn't a moron. bekele is getting into shape and more importantly, he can still close hard despite the lack of track workouts. why is it impossible not to root for this guy?!
Welcome
He seems to be racing a lot lately, I wonder if that's how be plans to return to form or if he is just doing it for money. Just hope he doesn't reinjure himself, it would be nice to see him compete against farah in full form.

You are kidding, right?
Yes getting into "racing shape" is an important component for him at this time, it is more the psychological component for him (which is what makes him above everyone else) to have three races (5K's) in about 10 days and all within the 13:00 to 13:10 is very difficult to do. He will do maybe one or two more races (3K or even a 1500) then he will go into Hybernation (rest and speed work only) to come back in late July and he will be just awsome. Not only physically but psychologically, this guy is extremelly strong and tht is why he is above everyone else. This guy is the consumate athlete, when is time to show what you got, either you show or die and he is willing to do what he had to do (The only man in history to run and win three Olympic 10,000 meters title) This guy has balls!
He ran 13 flat and 55.98 to close, and he hasn't hit the hard speed yet. The announcer said that he's only done 3 workouts on his personal track.
... which Bekele? Didn't his little bro beat him by a second in Oslo?
