Good interview. For the Webb-watchers, he talks about training with Alan about midway through. He seems genuinely impressed by Webb. He said he could only keep up for the first week they trained together and that when they do repeats, Andrews does the first 800-1200 with Webb while Webb finishes the full 1600. He did allow that maybe he (Andrews) is faster, but said he was surprised by Webb's speed. I guess you could put a lot of this down to Webb having a lot more years and miles in his legs. It also makes me thing Robby has a lot of upside.
How would you like to run your first serious 800 of the season in a race against Lalang, Yego, Kaki, and Rudisha.
Damn.

Damn.
Robby wanted to be a Pro, now he's a Pro.
He's gonna find out fast where his fitness is at for the 800.
I think he's still on the up swing...
This is a major step up in competition; 1:44 mid would be a good race for Andrews, but I can see him birng up the rear.

You never know what Andrews is gonna do. That 3:34 came out of nowhere. His first NCAA championship blew my mind (and his if you remember the reaction). I didn't think he had a chance against Jock last year. The only time I was disappointed was US Championships last year when he brought up the rear in the final.
Plus, the guy always seems to have a positive attitude while some of these other clowns get depressed after one bad performance.
He just seems like a really loose kid. Nothing overwhelms him, he's just happy to be training well and ready to race. Very level headed!

Pretty ironic that he trains with Webb.
Andrew's has every reason to be level headed, in a way he has experienced this before. Remember when he beat Wheating at Nats indoors? He was in shock, he had just beaten an olympian when the year before he was just another elite high school runner. Six months before that race he'd probably be asking wheating for his autograph, and after nats he had propelled himself to the same calibre of athlete.
Now granted, Rudisha and these guys are representing a totally different level of talent and competition, but Andrews is at a completely different level as well. This race is just history repeating itself; Andrew's is moving up to the next arena of track and field, and he's going to respond to it just like he's always done.
Andrews seems like he is always happy. Lucky dude. Not too many like him that I can think of among the distance running crowd.

Is there some reason that you add an apostrophe to Andrews' name?
