marathon pace is not slow. its pretty evident most people here have never trained for and raced a marathon. is 65:30 not great even for a workout? yes. should he be able to "comfortably tempo a 62" or as others have put "jog" absolutely not. you should be able to race a HM two months out at your MP or even a bit faster. a workout is an entirely different story. you should not be able to tempo MP for a half this far before the goal race. if you can, thats not a tempo effort and youre just lying to yourself.
the part that worries me is the positive split. that is not a good sign. im still not sold, but by a far less margin than the rest of you guys. if he bombs at london, then rip him apart, until then relax
