He's both. He was born here, and he's American.

"And no he's not gonna be running 3:30 anytime soon, and most likely never."
"You might see one 3:30 out of him in a couple years as his career PR."
Way to contradict yourself, dumbarse.
I'm surprised he noticed him in the race
They're not even in the same universe. Asbel is a massively talented athlete while Matt is just an average runner who's talent is positioning himself well for sprints in slow championship races.

Matt Centrowitz
Personal best(s)
1500m: 3:31.96
Mile: 3:51.34
Ayanleh Souleiman
1500 metres – 3:30.31 min (2012)
Mile run – 3:50.07 min (2012)
Granted, Souleiman is 20 and Centro is 23, and Souleiman is faster at 800m, but it seems absurd that one would label Centro "average" while consensus is that Souleiman is one of the best middle distance runners in the world.
If Centro was from Djibouti, Algeria, or Morocco, many here would be kissing his arse. Sure, he had some bad races this season, but he is a competitor and is certainly not average.
The quote above is typical of a bloody retard.
Exactly
Interesting analysis. Quite true how relatively similar individuals are not perceived that way in reality.

For the last effin time.
The OP id'ed Centro as the great white hope.
Centro is brown, not white.
End of discussion
How is it that you consider yourself in matters of imaginary importance? Like race for example.
Centro, by the way, is a white boy. Don't be pushing him my way.

It is amazing how posters disappear when their statements turn out false.
Test of time?
Centro beat Kiprop in the Olympics a couple of months after the thread was started.
Centro is now 2-0 over Kiprop at the Olympics.
