Doesn't count - he had a flying start for the 2nd 5k ;)

Yes that is absolutely unfair. That flying start for the second 5k is worth at least .8 seconds.

Did you know that most actors over about 35 are on HGH? Weird that they don't have braces and huge jaws, huh? It's almost like that's not really a side effect of supplementing low HGH levels.
It is funny when you see these guys letting a beard grow to cover their jaws/chins.
Very visible at the women's side and very sad what these pretty women are doing to their faces.
Just wonder if Bruce Willis and Demi Moore were on HGH when they had their daughter. She looks a little disfigured. It s not her fault after all...

Really? Why are they?

I would throw Daniel Komen's 3:59 mile, 3:59 mile, zero minutes rest right in there too.
and kohmen's 3"40 x 2 1500m...
Yeah, that's probably the best of all, though two sub-4:00 back-to-back miles "sounds" better.
Komen also had a workout that is pretty impressive on three minutes rest: 1600/1200/800/400 in 3:54/2:53/1:54/55

Bob Kennedy: There is always someone to do something with. If they are at different levels, sometimes guys might do portions of the training session with you. In total we, including the Kenyans, do two to three track workouts a week. The way Kim coaches and the way the Kenyans train, when we have a session, he will say do 5x800 meters with 2 minutes recovery. There is no time gage. Kim's philosophy for that time of the year is to run as fast as you can and finish the session. If it is within 10 days of a major championship, he will tell me to run the workout but don't run it any faster than 2:04. Otherwise, we've been out there running 1:57's for 800 meters. Last year we did a session and it was 1600, 1200, 800, and 400, with 3 minutes between each interval, and it was myself, Daniel Komen, and Paul Koech, and the other top guys. And these are my times: I ran 3:57, 2:56, 1:55, and 55. And I was kind of in the middle of the pack. Komen ran about 3:54, 2:53, 1:54, and 55. Not many people would ever conceive of training at that speed.
Absolutely, the 2 x 1500m (3:40) with no rest is similar to Bekele's 10,000
But Rudisha's 2 x 400m (50.5) with no rest doesn't seem anywhere near as good. The 800 is weak. It should be under 1:40
That's ridiculous. I can't believe Kennedy even trained that fast. I think Komen's 7:20 might be the best record on the books in T&F.
