Why would anyone expect him not to celebrate for a major break through performance?
I am pretty sure people are just kidding.
i ran against him at Monmouth in april pre-penn relays on a ragged track in windy and chill conditions.
dude owned the mile. was wayy off sub-4 pace and w/ 200 to go he motored to a 4.00.3. his kick is phenomenal and i wouldnt be surprised in the least if he made the Oly team. i was not surprised in his penn relay runs and the come from behind against columbia. kid is legit good for him to put it together at the right time.
The kid's been on my radar screen since qualifying as a footlocker finalist in 2006. He was a top 10 finisher in 2007 along with Derrick, Fernandez, and Puskedra. I think he is pretty well known in the Northeast.
This was a big PR but the kid has talent so this is not a complete shocker. Good timing for him. This is good momentum to have going into the summer.
Looks from the RunnersSpace video that Jager tried to hurdle the final water barrier. Why???

False. His motion was way too up-and-down and his lead foot was heading pretty much straight down just a few inches beyond the barrier. It's very distinct from his form when hurdling the barriers. It looks like he just missed the barrier, or even that he only got his heel on top of it and it slid off.
I'm a PU alum (pretty decent runner many moons ago) & have talked with Don a couple times.
He's really the most down to earth, hard working, humble guy you could meet. And I can tell you, the academic load at Princeton is enormous.
Looking for great things from Don as finishes up at Princeton and can focus on running.
Jäger also has a killer kick, doubt he would have lost if he didn't fall
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06

Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
