dont like actual best us collegiate runner...
Oh please, that was just last year. She's a very special runner and will prove herself time and time again.
So she's been looking a little tired and stale. She'll be back with a vengeance :)
freshman year= im in awe of jordan. junior year= improved runner but im jealous however
With her swimming background, she could be a hell of a triathlete...

However, this is exactly why I was so dismayed when she passed up Stanford to go to Oregon. Everyone thinks they're going to be an olympian out of high school; unfortunately the bloom of youth is extremely fleeting, and the chances of anyone being truly successful post-college [and even during college itself] are very, very low.
10-15 years from now, when no one cares about or remembers her running exploits, she's going to wish she had that Stanford degree.
It's all over very quickly, kiddies. Go to the best ACADEMIC school you can. If you're going to be an olympian, you can do it from anywhere.
Good luck to Jordan
You sound like a bitter Cardinal
Ah nope. right on the target..
Oh the regrets not going to Stanford. Instead went to a wanker college
BWAHHHH!!!!!!
jordan=chris derrick
She needs to learn how to make sandwiches, ditch that Parker fellow, and find another guy on the team that has a chance at going Pro one day.

So you're saying that no one from a state school like U of O can ever get into med school and have a successful life? Stanford, Ivies, or Bust?
Yes, that is exactly what I am saying. Your only proposed fix is to go deep in debt and slave for 10 more years, in order to get an increasingly unattractive MD degree? MDs are middle class HMO employees.
When you go to top schools, 10-15 years later your friends are company owners/founders, leaders of business and society. When you go to a lame state school, 10-15 years later your friends at best are middle class wage slaves, and at worst are living with their parents.
You must understand the implications of a globalizing society: the future of America is like Brazil--the elite in militarized, gated compounds surrounded by slums. Yes, there are always exceptions, and some state school kid can make it big; don't make life choices based on the exceptions, kid.
I have never heard a statement like that from Jordan! She must feel pretty low right now for her to say that!
People like are why America is the worst country in the world to live and by the end of the century will be a colony of some more forward thinking society. At best it wil succumb to another civil war from which it will cull the people who think like you - Cuba will take over!!
Unfortunately she is one of the few who still does not take advantage of the juice. Once she relents and conforms, she will be fast.
Mark MY Words!!!
She the hottest runner in the nation
A plateau is a high, level area that offers an excellent view of the mountain peaks ahead. Be patient.

She's just a junior hitting a plateau. Happens to the best of 'em. She'll likely have a great senior year, will be due for some big PRs and perhaps the World Championships in '13.
Not sure that's true. I think she was in PR shape, but was trying to run the A standard several months from her peak. She probably could have eased into a 15:30-15:35, and gone for a better PR at Prefontaine, NCAA or US Nats. Trying to run more than a 17 sec pr when your peak is planned for a few months from now wasn't the best idea unless you knew your training was there which hers obviously is not or she wouldn't be as dejected.
She prob could model
oh no, she is quoting Pre on Twitter.
"Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up"-Pre
She is about 3 weeks away from giving up running, drinking heavily, and chopping off all her hair.

The reality is, she is too nice of a person to take the Magical Duck Sauce. Probably the fastest clean runner in the USA righ tnow.
