I really dont think he would have been close to sub 13:00 in this race without the mistake. His last laps according to TFN were 53.3 and 66.4. He luckily didnt stop completely after the 53 and moved forward. Once he realized, he had about 375m to go and picked it up off a slow jog. He finished in 13:11.63, 11+ seconds off the barrier.
Had his true last lap been 53.3, how fast could have that penultimate lap been? It wouldnt have been 66.4, but how much faster? And then what do you mean by close to sub 13, 1 second off, 4 seconds off? My lame guess is a 60ish penultimate lap for a 13:05.
