I was diagnosed with 2nd metatarsal stress fracture (MRI) 4 weeks ago. I still have pain, swelling, discoloration. Doctor OK'd stationary bike but I'm not sure if that's causing the pain, etc. to continue. I haven't run or done elliptical at all. I hate swimming but that might be all I'm left with. Anyone's experience with biking with a metatarsal fracture?
bump ^^^
It will still be a while from when you don't feel it to when you should run. For me I've stopped feeling them when walking in anywhere from 3-28 days,
I'm recovering from a navicular stress fracture, about a month out of the cast after 2 months on crutches. My foot, while not painful to walk on, is still swollen.
For those of you who have recovered from foot fractures, about how long did you have swelling and mild soreness after the cast was taken off?
Lol I got a femoral stress fracture after the 2014 tucson marathon, was diagnosed 6 weeks later, and I'm out for 8 weeks. Probably because that course is so downhill and completely on pavement plus I had really lightweight shoes.
