Holy crap! My mind has been blown
Related to this, I always think it is hysterical that so many men think that women are worse drivers than men when the statistics are simply irrefutable that women are overall MUCH safer drivers than men are.
If you would delve deeper into the statistics, you would see that while men are statistically worse drivers, those statistics show that men are far more likely to die/be involved in a horrific crash due to propensity to speed and drive aggressively.
Women are far more likely to be in distracted driving/bump/rear-end/whoops wrong pedal etc stupid easily avoidable accidents
In what world is "propensity to speed and drive aggressively" not bad driving?
Never said it wasn't bad driving.I'm saying a ratio of 1 horrific crash to 20 oops i bumpud into another car in a parking lot doesn't make the 20 way better drivers

It does unless you live in a world where consequences don't matter. A little bit of property damage is a way better outcome than a couple of totalled cars with a high chance of death and serious injury.

Really? So, a human life is worth less than 20 dings in car bumpers? Okayyy.
But there's a benefit to driving fast: getting to your destination sooner and with less time spent in the car. No benefit to spacing out and smacking the next car...

If a propensity to speed and drive aggressively isn't also stupid and easily avoidable then I'm not sure what is.
We're trying to rid the world of chauvinists one geeky runner at a time.
My roommate (a guy) just did this while driving his boss's car last week. Lucky him...
Men are better drivers. Just look at professional race car driving. Men dominate at the highest level, formula 1.
However, men take more risk in general. Especially young men. No doubt I would rather ride in a car with an 18 year old girl driving than an 18 year old boy. However, that doesn't make women better drivers, just safer.

I believe I see the problem. You don't think that being a "safer driver" is better.
Haha. You couldn't be more wrong. Women drive less than men AND get in more wrecks. Here is the most comprehensive study on the subject published last year.

Women are like Asians. They don't necessarily get into wrecks. They just do crazy shit that causes other people to wreck. When you come to a dead stop in the middle of the highway because you think you made a wrong turn and you are paralyzed with indecisiveness, it will be some poor guy trying to avoid rear ending you who will hit a phone pole and die. You will then look at the numbers and say "wow, men are such dangerous drivers."

Do you even know what the word "hysterical" means? It blows my mind how many people incorrectly use this word. The worst part is that you used it while trying to make other people sound stupid.
I award you no points and may god have mercy on your soul.

Young men have much higher rates of both crashes involving fatalities AND crashes in general, than any other age-gender group on a per-mile-traveled basis.
The study mainly has to do with much older drivers, and more women live to be older and are still driving after 75.

"It blows my mind" is pretty informal too, wouldn't you say?
