Tell that to John Walker... 3:49.08 PR @ 30yr

Why do our elite runners get injuried so much. I never remember Scott and Spivey getting hurt so much.
Centro, Wheating, Lomong, book it.
Whoever said that Lomong does not do well in championship races has not been watching track for the last 5 years. You lost all credibility with that comment. If anything, he does BETTER in championship races than time trials.
except for every time he gets out kicked by someone less fit like Manzano....

Any athlete but white.Whites have proven to be epic failures in international competitions.
No whites, huh.
So another vote for Centro, Manzano and Lomong then?
The hope for Wheating is fleeting.

It's crazy that within almost two years Wheating has gone from the golden boy of American distance running to a runner with an outside chance of qualifying for the Olympics in 2012. I suppose that's just the nature of track.
Also, isn't Centro white?
He's not white enough to be a reliable loser.

Let's see - 2007 NCAA 1500, 2009 and 2010 USATF 1500 Lomong outkicks Manzano for the title.
2009 WC 1500 Final, Manzano falls off the back to finish DFL while Lomong finishes a respactable 8th.
This prediction is 98% reliable. You can take this to the bank.1 Matthew Centrowitz 2 Alan Webb3 Andrew Wheating 4 Lopez Lomong 5 William Leer 6 Leonel Manzano

Hey, I have a good idea. Let's turn this into a discussion about race!
This is about race.
The race will be July 1st.
It looks as if Webb could be the first 3:46 miler never to get either and Olympic or World Championship medal.
Assuming you mean Alan Webb is the unreliable 2%?

That's what he gets for blowing his load in 2010. Both him and Solinsky sacrificed the rest of their careers to have one great season in 2010, a non-championship year!
