Shalane won!
Shalane won!
I hadn't looked at her competition, but it seems like there are some good ones there and she got the win. Excellent job. What were the credentials of the others?

Not sure if you're aware but on Letsrun.com's homepage there are a few articles discussing the Lisbon Half-Marathon and a whole preview section as well.
You're an idiot. Case closed.

Obviously a poor attempt at trolling!
I suggested I think Shalane could finish top 3 which would be pretty good against such a field; however, if I was to pick a favorite(s) for the win it would be Mergia Aselefech or Pauline Njeri. Do Shalane have a legitimate shot to win? YES do I think she will, No. I really hope Shalane have an outstanding performance and break the American Record but it will be extremely difficult and would be a great achievement if she beats the entire female field!
You've always given Eldrick a run for the money in terms of being the stupidest mofo on the board so I'm glad to see you uphold your end of the bargain.
Ha! Eat it VIPAM.
VIPAM you stupid dumb dickwaed. wise up
I feel like VIPAM still gets 100000 wrong race predictions before countering with his successful Kenenisa Bekele prediction...

Just because she ended up winning doesn't mean that he was wrong to not pick her to win before, given the information he had at the time. To be clear, I don't mean his prediction wasn't wrong - obviously it was - but the reasoning behind the prediction wasn't bad. Even the Brojos said they were picking her to win "following [their] hearts, not [their] heads."

Wait a minute....Rui Silva is now a half-marathoner? What kind of mileage he's putting right now? he's going to run the 10 or the 5 at London?
Road-track-cross, Shalane is the most consistently successful distance runner in U.S. history, bar none.
To be clear, VIPAM started a thread about the ignorance of others, then stepped on his dick by being 100% wrong. I don't know you or him but you both can go fuk yourselves. Flanagan for the win baby.

Actually, he just started a thread about how he disagreed with the Brojos prediction for the Lisbon half, and invited discussion. He stated that he thought that Flanagan had a shot to win and would probably be top three. That hardly qualifies as "stepp[ing] on his dick". I don't see a need for personal insults.
Greetings
Rui Silva will be in Roterdam for the Marathon. He aims the minimum for the Olimpic Marathon in London (less than 2:13)
Thanks

There are 2 Rui Silvas. The 1500m guy you're talking about who blazed the last 800m of a the 2004 Olympic 1500m in 1:46.xx.
