Mine's "A Day in the Life". Second favorite is "Dear Prudence".

Either Eleanor Rigby or Help!
Too many great ones. Much easier to choose the worst among so few bad songs. I nominate "Mr. Moonlight".
Norwegian Wood (This Bird has Flown). The song has several interpretations.
Knowing She Would = Norwegian Wood. What John Lennon really meant. Just replace the words in the song and it makes a lot of sense. John didn't get any that night and was okay with that.
I once had a girl
Or should I say she once had me
She showed me her room
Isn't it good Knowing She Would?
She asked me to stay
And she told me to sit anywhere
So I looked around
And I noticed there wasn't a chair
I sat on the rug biding my time
Drinking her wine
We talked until two and then she said
"It's time for bed"
She told me she worked
In the morning and started to laugh
I told her I didn't
And crawled off to sleep in the bath
And when I awoke I was alone
This bird had flown
So I lit a fire
Isn't it good Knowing She Would?
I want you (she's so heavy)
BAND ON THE RUN
Beatles were before my time
Torn between "I want you (she's so heavy)" and "Here Comes the Sun." Funny that one comes after the other.
So great.
Elinor Rigby
It's really the only Beatles song I like, and I like it a lot
Then you should be able to spell it right
I always thought norwegian wood was about burning her house down?
You are totally clueless about that song. Read a biography of Lennon to learn the truth.

Not my fav but "While My Guitar..." has been stuck in my head for a couple of days now.
As far as a fav...perhaps the seemingly simplistic "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" from Meet the Beatles would be close to the top.
Wild Honey Pie
Happiness is a Warm Gun
"Here Comes the Sun", followed by "I Saw here Standing There"
Curious choices, given that I think John was the best song-writer....

I love While my Guitar Gently Weeps. My favorite is either that or Something.

Naming a favorite song? Oh, yeah!
