Lowry has never run a 10k on the track. However, I'd argue it's incorrect to say he's a shorter distance guy, as he was all-american in cross, proving he has great strength over 10k.

Okay, I didn't. Looks like decent conditions for a lot of teams' competitions this weekend--maybe I'll score a virtual meet early next week, in my oceans of free time.

look forward to it.
Any posters actually attend the Harvard/Yale and Penn/Princeton (women) dual meets? Not just the results--I can see that those are posted--but any particular impressions about teams or individuals or specific events?
I see that competition continues today for Cornell, at least--any other team competing on Sunday?
Whoa--I just checked out that Cornell meet (at Bucknell) and see that Mozia upped his seasonal best by more than a meter, to 18.67--that's 61ft plus. From previous posts, I believe that's something like a half-meter better than he ever put the *12-pound* shot (outdoors) whilst at Hackensack High. (I believe he's still shy of the Cornell frosh records in shot and disc, though...)
I think I would put this in the category of "freshman adapting well to the college weights"! This guy's potential is stunning--I saw him once or twice indoors, and his technique was very raw.

Sorry, I was completely full of prunes with that statement. I looked up Mozia's record myself on DyeStat (should have done that first), and I see that he threw 63ft++ to finish second at NB outdoor nationals.
He's still doing a great job, though!
Mozia transitioned EXTREMELY well to college weights. Technique-wise, he still has plenty of work ahead of him, but Coach Megan Johnson (not Rojo) at Cornell has done a great job with him so far. Excited to see how the next couple years go.
Rats. Monday morning, and tfrrs doesn't have all the results. The performances for the men of Princeton (et al.) aren't up--an absence that would kinda skew virtual scores, given that, say, Tom Hopkins ran a 46.23 at George Mason.
Well, maybe I'll get to it tomorrow. Or someone else can. Serious question:
Does anyone know how to find a list of Ivy women's 3,000m performances?--since they don't appear on tfrrs? I'm completely unmotivated to plow through a month's worth of meet results for each of eight women's teams...
I'd recommend checking out direct athletics, but their server seems to be down right now.
Also, it seems like Cornell posts their meet results very late (like Monday AM) when competition is done on Saturday...

Scratch that: they don't have the 3k rankings for the Ivy League conference rankings on Direct Athletics...
However: you can look under DirectAthletics' rankings for IC4As/ECACs as they have the 3k listed. Unfortunately they carried over the top indoor 3k times as well. I hate DirectAthletics when they do that.
You can do something similar on TFRRS, but I think it is easier to tell which marks are from outdoors through TFRSS' method:
I appreciate the effort, C/M, but it looks like the TFRRS list of ECAC qualifers is not a big help: if a woman has a faster 3,000m time from the indoor season, I think that's the one that will be listed.
What the heck, I may go with it anyway. There aren't going to be many major changes among the top players, between indoor and outdoor; and I could actually see one of the contenders (to score) not running a 3,000 outdoors until Heps itself.
BTW, I think Cornell results are variable: *some* have been up almost immediately, before other schools'.
I'd like to see the Columbia results on that TFRRS listing, too. It's puzzling to me why some colleges (Geo. Mason, in this case) don't have results posted by Monday afternoon. Or is the problem at the TFRRS end?
STILL no George Mason results on TFRRS...
I wonder if the TFRRS system is having issues, as I keep getting problems with loading various listing pages within it. Is anyone else having this issue?

I think you are missing Cornell women out in California earlier this spring: Cal State Northridge on 3/17
Alyssa O'Connor - 9:48.82
Devin McMahon - 9:54.29
The Cornell website links to this meet for the Northridge Invite, and there isn't an open 3000m women's race. But apparently, it is the UCLA invite, so Cornell's media is referencing the wrong meet.
