Mr pretty Obvious has made some very good points, getting across what I did not. There's nothing wrong with the small college scene, more poeple should look at that. Here in texas, most HS kids look at Big 12 and/or Southland conf schools but as Mr Obvious said thats not always the best choice, and many of those fall thru the cracks, dont reach their potential or flame or burn out. I've seen it many, many time down here, over the past 30 yrs. Sad and dumb decisions were taken becuse it was convenient, their dad went there and easy instead of looking to more options and getting of your/thier comfort zone. That includes leaving the state and your friends and family, which is what I did and did not regret it. It was fun also beating Div I runners despite I was at school in the middle of nowhere without great faclilites or a super team. It was qiute fun and memorable.
