Has anyone run the length of the Oregon Coast?

Cool video, but not sure their trip was the entire distance?
This video?
Just saw this post now after someone told me about it. We only ran 250 miles of the coast. Looking back it was a pretty crazy trip. Route 101 is not safe. Cars are flying down that thing. It's also pretty hilly. I would definitely think twice about pushing a baby jogger. It was really hard!
What are your plans? I'd be happy to offer any advice.
Ian
A self-supported run along a highway using a baby jogger for gear? Crazy, but sounds like fun.
Here you go. Meet Dane:

A few years ago my family drove the Oregon coast. We stopped a few times and took some pictures of the ocean. We filled up the gas tank.
That is exactly what the cheater Dane Rauschenberg will be doing as he cheats in another stunt event. The Graveyard 100 proves this fraud has no fitness level. He will have to ride a Winnebago to get through it. Who will be monitoring Danus during this adventure? Do you really think pink slime is good running fuel? 2:01 boy is a joke.
This is just another take on the DEAN K stunt running only Dane will take 24 hour breaks while he molests children's minds with the unhealthy BEEF message that they should eat BEEF and be infected with hormones and cholesterol.
This guy is a poster child for "SELL OUT." I'm gonna fly to OR and throw cow sh!t at him while he runs.
Let's call PETA and the high schools where he is going and let them know a cheater and liar is coming to poison their students.
We already know the truth doesn't have any bearing on your opinions so how exactly will Dane cheat in this event?
If he uses GPS tracking or something like that, will his ever-present power have control over the space time continuum as well?
This explains his cheating, just like he did during he alleged 202 and his alleged 100 at GY. Dane is a cheat and a jerk to top it all off. It baffles all of us that BEEF would back such and ass and that schools would allow him to speak.
http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u429/The_Sexy_Runner/sohecancheat.jpg
and this photo explains the delusional nature of this self-promoting slack-ass slippery runner. Who the eff would have photos like this taken.? and then post them for all to see. Dane is so far off his rocker that it actually has started to scare a lot of people.
Yes that all made perfect sense. Thanks for your minimal contribution to our day.

Route 101 is not safe at all. This would be my biggest concern.

Any letsrunners going to join Dane for a few miles?
Coincidentally I'm going to be on the Oregon Coast when this thing starts. If I see Douchenberg running down the road it will take everything in my power not to drive over his stupid ass.
I at least plan on heckling him if I see him run by.

I would disagree. I have biked the majority of the Oregon Coast (about the same segment as Ian, Astoria down to Coos Bay area), and felt pretty comfortable the whole time. It is a popular bike tour route, and cars typically are used to seeing bikes (and the rare runner) on the road.
Here is link the map that Oregon Dept. of Transportation put out:
http://www.oregon.gov/ODOT/HWY/BIKEPED/docs/oregon_coast_bike_route_map.pdf?ga=tIt is pretty detailed about which sides has the best shoulder (the coast side!) and where to divert from 101 for a more comfortable route.
He'll probably hear you coming from the sounds of your massive iron balls.

Not sure if you live here or what you experience is beyond biking it once. But this doesn't change my opinion. Given, I drive from Florence to Brookings very often, maybe this is different than the northern section, which I don't drive much.
There are virtually no shoulders, many corners, cars angry that there is only one lane and being stuck behind RV's for endless miles, ect ect.
Most coastal towns in Oregon are small and contain a large number of "not happy with runners" type in them. Even The Coos Bay. Perhaps my experiences are isolated. But given my nearly weekly experience for the past 2 years. Its not safe, in my opinion. Even if ODOT provides a map.
