Unless something else comes out of this...yes. I am hoping this is the end of it.

Congrats on winning the Puma contest!!!
Still wishing you all the best!
Thank. I am excited. Maybe my legs won't hurt when I finish running...
Ran a 1 mile fun run and 5k yesterday. I was dead last in both. Feels weird being trailed by a cop car. Totally out of place. Oddly it's a race I had won several times. So, I am one of few people who probably holds the distinct honor of having been first AND last in the same race.

Off since Saturday. Felt fine. Slow and slower. Nonetheless, got out there and did it. Tomorrow, hopefully a little more. Maybe 3.
You still around? Check in and let us know how you're doing. I think of you a lot when I'm out running. I hope your health is at least holding steady and you're making progress toward your goals.
I was thinking about him too, wondering if he's been able to enjoy the heat wave that much of the country has been in for a while.
I loved the post about being first and last in the same race.
triple bump!

Hey everyone. Yeah, still around. Just not been running much. My entire family came down with strep for the third time in a row and my leg has been aching a little since the race. I ran a little last Saturday, but, that has been it. Hoping to start back up tomorrow. Shoot for two miles and try to get under 35 again. Thanks for checking on me. I am starting to think breaking 30 or maybe 40 would be a more reasonable goal. Unlike when I was younger, the fitness is not returning...even when I do it every day. We'll see.
Thanks for the update! Keep at it man!
A couple days ago I was wondering what was up with you and wondered if it was a bad thing that you hadn't updated in a while. Glad to see it didn't. Whatever goal you set for yourself on this is worthy and inspirational as far as I'm concerned.
With regards to the fitness not coming back: was your chemo cardiotoxic? My grandfather found he couldn't run anymore after his cancer treatments because they damaged his heart. He was in his eighties, though, so you're probably much better off.
I'm glad you're still at it, too.
I'm curious, do you notice any endorphine-type effects from your running?

Yeah, the adriamiacin was. Heart functionality decreased. That's for sure. Ejection fraction rate went from 64 to 55% immediately prior to my surgery. Probably lower now. I don't honestly expect to ever get near where I was, if, for no other reason than this.

No, I really think that has to do with, among other things, breathing rates the more I think about it. I don't run (or breathe) quickly enough to get any sort of anything but a sore back and achy knees. If I lost 20 pounds it would help. : )
3/28 - 2 miles today (29:38 - 155) Not as bad as I thought it would be. Very surprised.
That's excellent! You are a BOSS

Left ham is tighter than the right. Can't actually extend my leg. Weird. Never noticed it. Probably why I have pain in my left lumbar region.
Nice! Enjoy your new beauties. What's your plan for the week?
