Check out the Nike Vapors, Eastbay has a sale of the red and silver model.
I dont know about the cubato, but I have some RC150's and I love them. They are about as light as a quark, and my pair has taken a decent amount of roughhousing.
Also, I take every opportunity possible to put cash in the hands of New Balance instead of Nike or adidas, but that's just me.
Buy the RC 150s, I've loved mine. I've put about 350 miles on them and the tread is finally about shot, but they were the best racers I've ever purchased.
I'd go for the Cubatos if you want to do half-marathons in them. RC 150s are good for shorter stuff, I have a pair of Nike Vapors and I love them. For anything 10k or less, these are the best flats you can buy. They are great on the track too. I think those annoying Champion Chips weigh more!
The cubato's are nice, very narrow aound the arch on my feet though. Ever see a pair of Manggostin's though. If you want minimalist road flats these are the lightest things i have ever seen.
