Not knowing you is exactly what we are referring to. If anyone is a troll, it is you.

He's no troll. I know who he is and some of his history.

OK. I guess it was all just a dream.

Nor am I a troll. I'm not sure why he would suggest such a thing.
The funny thing is I never even said my name or claimed to know you.
You said that you met me and that you ran with Joe. Neither of us remember a high schooler being around at that time.
OK. That is fine. I can assure you I remember Joe in his baggy cotton sweats. He was quite adept at the snot rocket. If I recall correctly after the 1968 trials he went back to Chicago to work in the family business.
Trained with Mihaly Igloi in High School while with the Santa Monica Track Club then Lazlo Tabori at LA Valley College 1971 with Dave Babaraki we won the California State Junior Colloege Championship. Cross Country. I was the only one to train with Igloi and Tabori...... then Joe DouglasI later ran for the University of Washington needless to say i had a better coach in High School than I did in College. we recuited DAVE I ran with him on a recuiting trip to Seattle!I asked the fame coach at Oregon for running tips..... Bill Bowerman said " YOU ARE IN THE BEST HANDS IN THE WORLD WITH IGLOI"

AJ,
May have met you in the past. I ran with Igloi 1967-1970, Douglas 1972-1974, Tabori 1975-1976.

What's so great about "Mihaly Igloi?" 🤔 (btw, the name sounds Eskimo?).

That's because he lived in an igloo.
When I read this I wonder what became of that 13-year-old girl. Did she win races? How long did she stay in the sport? Is she still running?
I thought one of Igloi's training principles was that of not having hard and easy days but rather having the athlete being able to train again with a similar effort day after day? How many elite runners these days spend 30 hours a week training?

Got it.ðŸ‘I was wondering because I never heard of the dude. But I figured it had to do something with an igloo. Sometimes these things are easy to figure out; I once met a guy at a race named "Hightower." After chatting for a while, he told me he lived on the top floor of a high-rise building. I told him that's what I thought his name suggested. 😉
The girl was Maria Strearns. Igloi left for Greece the next years.
Here is Maria's results from 1970, by that time probably closer to 16 years old. Ran a 4:30 1500m:

That's very cool. Imagine not only training with all three, but being the only one who ever did.

Nice if it were true, but I am confident that there were more people who trained with all three coaches.

I believe Micheal Spino debunked your claims.
Michael Spino is no Reid Harter.
Exactly.
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
