Most of all though, you should take an honest look at why his lifestyle and beliefs bother you so much. Most can and will be indifferent to [them]. If you have an angry, annoyed, emotional response to his faith, then maybe the problem isn't him...it's you.
As a convinced and committed atheist, I concur.
The Halls, as near as I know, aren't using their position/prominence to push for legislation limiting anyone's freedom of action. In which case, I don't see them as any kind of threat. Their lives are their own, to "waste" (according to whom?) as they see fit. I wish them (and everyone else) the best.
Live and let live.

So when they blab it all over the internet, that's not a problem.
But if someone else mentions it, that's a problem.
I think we can see who the nutcases are with the problems.
Anyone who believes in any organized religion based on a doctrine and a deity is completely insane and delirious and walking around with blind folders on. Absolute oblivion.
I am not discounting/denouncing 'spirituality' or any of that. But let's please stop proclaiming to know things that we don't.
Congratulations. We can still be kind and moral and comport ourselves with even MORE compassion WITHOUT having religion in our lives. Let religions' hold on you go people, enough already!
The Halls are definitely self-absorbed nutjobs with gigantic egos to match. They are also notoriously cheap. That being said, the PLACEBO EFFECT can be knowingly strong, and can definitely help in any performance. Belief plays a big role in all that we do.
But for 'heaven's sake' enough with all the bullshit already.
Thank you and Amen.
I wonder if people talked about Jim Ryun the same way when he was at the top of the world? Not quite as outspoken as Hall, but he never made it a secret of where he believed he got his talent from...
Hall will hit some troubles and will find himself at the doorstep of Scott Simmons, who will show him the way.
Just as every cop is a criminal
And all the sinners saints
As heads is tails
Just call me lucifer
Cause I'm in need of some restraint
So if you meet me
Have some courtesy
Have some sympathy, and some taste
Use all your well-learned politesse
Or I'll lay your soul to waste, um yeah
Pleased to meet you
Hope you guessed my name, um yeah
But what's puzzling you
Is the nature of my game
It's called faith, that's what makes it a mystery. If you believe that Jesus was made up and was not crucified, you have my pity. Being religious and believing does not define one as a nut job nor does it make you one for not believing. It is the only true unknown if you yourself haven't experienced it.
Google Kimberlie Bergalis. The young lady told her Mom the night before she died that she saw angels. You can choose to say she was dreaming it or even hallucinating, but not me. She was infected by a dentist with aids over 20 years ago. Ryan Hall has his faith and it's his right.

Do you believe that this was God's will?
Wow- really great points there. Look, if I was a believer I would be begging you to not speak anymore, because you are just hurting the cause.
Hall will soon come knocking at the backdoor of the King of Babylon. Save me King of Babylon!
Pleased to meet you
Hope you guessed my name,
I think you and Jesse are too ignorant to understand her point, it's beneath you yet over your head at the same time. Don't hurt yourself thinking about it.
God didn't make that dentist do that, he made a choice. If we didn't have choice, what's the point of God creating us? Your ignorance and arrogance will be your eventual downfall and good luck with your eternity as you will need it. Btw, that will be your choice, not God's will. The door was open but you chose another entrance.
