Hey everyone,
I run for Colorado College and have trained here in Colorado for years now, and have never seen anything quite so troubling as the current state of the trails in/around Denver. Not sure why this is, but literally EVERY SINGLE one that I have checked over the past few weeks (and I've checked a lot) are all a muddy/icy mess, despite the warm weather and their not being in the shade. Like I said, I have run through many winters in our great state, but this is truly unlike anything I have ever experienced. I am not one of those lucky few who can get away with doing my 70-90 miles a week on concrete. If I even try for 40-50 mpw on nothing but cement, I'll be very quick to get hurt. If anyone has any unpaved spots that aren't too muddy or snowy to run on currently, I would be eternally grateful to hear about them.
Thanks very much!
