1. Stanford-without a doubt, they run away with it. I wish they could run a B team to see how high the would finish.
2. Arkansas-they don't have great depth, but Alkin and Mulvaney will help them and the fron four will do their job as the Hogs always do.
3. Wisconsin-if they had Spiker, they would be contenders, but they don't, so they fall a bit short. Next year it is a Wisco/Stanford duel.
4. Colorado-the low sticks are going to help them beat NAU this time around, but the 5th is going to kill them.
5. NAU-they have been pretty inconsistent, but NAU like Arkansas usually runs well at the big one.
6. Oregon- this is where it gets hard. Martin Smith has a solid team in the Ducks, but they aren't in the top tier yet.
7. Villanova- Another team that desperately needs a fifth, but they are good up front with Blincoe and Hayden.
8. Eastern Michigan- Boaz is in the top 3 and Thompson is the real deal and could be very high.
9. BYU- Kangogo being injured is a blow to this team, but they ran well with him hurt also.
10. Iona- the Gaels have a man up front which helps them crack the top 10
11. Weber St.- Tolman and Atwater lead a good team that just misses a top 10 finish.
12. Indiana- the Jeffersons are running well, next year can be huge with the return of their top two(last year) off of red-shirt.
13. Georgetown- every time I pick gtown to run well, they let me down, every timei pick them to run bad, they come through, this time, i pick average
14. Ohio St.- Glaz ran terrible at regionals otherwise they would have been third. I think he runs better this time.
15. Central Michigan- a great year for these guys, maybe I don't give them enough respect, maybe i think they've blown their wad
16. Providence-I don't know how i squeezed 5 teams in between two points(difference at regionals from Iona) but I did, perhaps they will finish higher, then again i could be right.
17. Montana St.- Inconsistency. Weese is good. which team shows up?
18. Michigan- Brannen and Willis looked good at the regional meet. Another team that can be very good next year.
19. Colorado St.- they seem to be fading a bit, but not much
20. N.C. State- a nice front 3, but a lackluster 4-5
21. Butler- Tucker is looking good, but Fedmowski is hurting them.
22. Michigan St.- for awhile this year it looked like they wouldn't make it. I think this team underacheived
23. Notre Dame- They deserve to be here, they had a terrible race at pre-nats with Mobley hurt. he isn't in his best shape but helps this team enough
24. SMU- gave the Hogs a scare at regionals, but the hogs sat a couple. there is the potential to move up, but these guys a really a mystery
25. Iowa- a young team with Esche leading, took advantage of a weak region
26. William & Mary-they have to get their 2-5 men to move up in order to finish in the top 20.
27. Minnesota- the 7th team from the Big 10 followed Iowa out of the midwest(it's crazy illinois almost got pushed in, that would be 8 for the Big10)
28. Alabama- Kimani and Kiprono keep the Tide from finishing last
29. Texas- will Thorne run? that's the key as to how far back these guys finish
30. Tennessee- huge surprise to win down south, hold off A&M for last
31. Texas A&M- the we're just glad to be here guys. someone has to be last.
That's how i broke it down. After looking through, there is plenty of room for mistakes, but after all, it's just predictions. I did pick the exact top 9 teams in the GL region. I missed the tenth with Purdue topping Miami(OH), who finished 11th. I could be incredibly lucky too. I'm not going to even try predicting individuals. I'll just say Kimani is my guess. Do the front three(Kimani, Boaz, and Jorge) cause one of them to break and cost their team? I think it'll happen.
