If a 42 foot cross where displayed outside the White House it would confuse people as to who really owns our government.

Hence a 42 foot menorah and only a menorah.

The entire White House complex is on a National Park.

President's Park, located in Washington, D.C., encompasses the White House, a visitor center, Lafayette Square, and The Ellipse. President's Park was the original name of Lafayette Square. The current President's Park is administered by the National Park Service.

The Menorah is just outside the White House Fence in the Ellipse. High Enough so that it towers over all and literally DOMINATES the White House.

So you have a Giant Menorah that is part of the White House complex and in a National Park!

If you think it isn't part of the White House, try putting a Cross up and see how fast it gets slapped down.

The Native peoples clearly have mucho reason and the right to be offended by these Crosses and to ask that they be taken down. They, however, have NO political power in America.

Hence the legal ruling by the American judicial system that a menorah is NOT a religious symbol (I kid you not!) while the Cross is.

Also others used the no preference clause stating no other religious service was ever performed on Mt Soledad. Jews are not behind a movement to deny crosses and push for menorahs. Jews typically just want a menorah to be displayed where other religious symbols are displayed. I'm not defending anything. I'm merely pointing out that you were wrong claiming there is a giant menorah on the WH lawn. As a bonus I pointed out that there is a Crèche and multiple Christmas trees INSIDE the WH. Also, I reminded everyone that you're a bigot.

I can't believe the amount of the people who show outrage that the Menorah is located on the White House lawn. It's on the Ellipse. Yes, its on Federal National Park land, but so is the National Christmas Tree. As an atheist, I respect everyone's right to Freedom of Religion. I do not take offense to religious symbols on Federal property, as long as there is an opportunity for equal representation. And this is what troubles me. Where is the statue of Baphomet ? Where is the statue of the Spaghetti Monster ? Equal representation for all, or equal representation for none.
