How are they being disloyal to THEIR school by stating what actually happened and their current mindset?

Given how much BS is written on these message boards how the heck is an actual member of the team coming on here and just stating that the AD told them to e-mail him with suggestion a bad thing. While I don't comment on these message boards often, I do read them every now and then, and when someone comes on and gives actual information instead of pulling it out of their behind, someone else comes on and says something foolish. Thats one of the reasons it hard to believe 99% of what is written on here.
Fetter keeps Stackhouse and razko makes collegiate coaching debut working with just the men, but most importantly, webb and adrews.
How can everyone say there is this great men's distance team down there if the men didn't even make nationals. Fetter can and SHOULD concentrate on other event areas and run wild with depth over the race of the distance crazed ACC.
There hasn't been a very good distance coach at UVA since 2008.
Vig was good with the 800 and 1500 and very very average with all other distances. He certainly showed little inclination to work well with what we'd term developing talent. It will be interesting to see where he lands next.

If Robbie went to the administration with a list, they would do well to work with him. Him leaving would put a big hole in the program needlessly. Not listening to your stud is arrogant and stupid.
The AD is hiring a coach he's expecting will be there for the longterm. Why on earth would he listen to a young kid about his opinions on a head coach? Why do you think he would have any useful input on the situation? In the grand scheme of things, the AD shouldn't care about what one runner who might go pro who will be there 1-3 years thinks about who will be the next coach.
very simply because good team members don't air the dirty laundry, like "i don't have a good feeling," and about salaries.
team members are in subordinate positions to the coaching staff and athletic administrators.
nothing positive comes from it other than providing information to message board readers. and message board readers are just gossipers in these situations.
any one that is SUPPOSED to know what is going on, DOES know what is going on. If you DON'T know what is going on, it is because it doesn't pertain to you.

He will get an even better-paying job with less duties like most coaches in our sport who get asked to resign.
Also, and this isn't meant as a knock on Vig exactly, but Virginia's middle distance is good, but by no means dominant at either the conference or national level. That perception gets created with programs have a stud.
I'm not sure anything more true has ever been posted on LRC.

UVA has an absolute crap ton of milers at 4:02ish and faster - Andrews, Amirault, Johnson, Taye, Todd, Minen, Heineking. Not to mention 1:47ish 800 guys Kostelac and Roller. Say what you want about Vig and the "new direction" of the program, but whoever the new distance coach is has a LOT of raw ability to work with in the middle distances. They are extraordinarily deep beyond Andrews.
half those guys you listed are NOT running for UVA anymore. Quit or transferred. Not as much raw talent as you think.

Who quit or transferred on that list?
It's not about caring what one runner thinks, it's about caring to have a situation which will draw runners of similar ability and accomplishment. Ignoring the studs usually means that you won't be getting many more.
These studs will be puppets of vig. Let em go!
I know Minen is done and Heiniking hasn't been healthy for track due to achilles in years.
Minen is indeed off the team now. Heineking is healthy and training well, but had left the team long before Vig did, and is now back in Ohio.
Looks like Fetzer is indeed keeping Stackhouse on as the womens' distance/cross country coach. Anybody else think this is a pretty silly move based on Stackhouse's complete lack of experience with anything over 400m?
Even the letsrun crew can understand not firing someone middle of year right after holidays.
They will get a fillin on the men's side inside next two weeks and then look at what to do for next year depending on performance.
I also look to have a track team, not just made up on winning a Penn relays title like vig prioritized.
I think Minen is out of eligibility as is Emil.

Both had indoor/outdoor eligibility left.
