The coaches thread is now showing back up on the index. For the last week, it only existed if you had it bookmarked.
Sorry about that.
On a separate note:

I agree with you on that one. What is it that takes most schools so long? HR?
Admittedly, the season is about to start so they have to hire someone but it took about 3 months to hire my replacement.
You are a very difficult guy to replace....
Portland State continues to post an assistant coaching position on their site. Is this already filled? Is this a position that there is already a person in place for but being rehired? Anyone know the status on this?

Narrowed down to final 4. Will pick 3 for an interview. School starts on the 24th of Sept. so they have a little time. I don't know where Jeffers went...maybe Concordia PDX?
Unfortunately/fortunately the "Sandusky" case has them all (Universities) being held to a much higher scrutiny and they are taking more time to get all the info..
Except Princeton?

Concorida should announce today. Looks like either Brian Witlock of Wayland or the Shawnee state head coach. Distance coach either way. Has been a well rounded program, will be interesting to see what direction they go with the new coach and how Mac Wilkins and the rest of the program fits that model. The bigger interest is how Wayland or Shawnee boucns back from loosing a coach 1-2 weeks before school starts. Both were nationals level teams for NAIA this year. Last minute changes are just crazy this year!
there are exceptions... and we all know most jobs are filled before they are announced. which should indicate the program has already done their homework.
dfj
bump
What about OSU women's distance position?
They are seeking a volunteer assistant to fill that role.

God bless anyone who can afford it.
So we have:
Oregon State
Ohio State
Stanford
Manhattan
Houston
Campbell
Purdue
UNC Greensboro
Monmouth
don't forget Virginia on that list
East Carolina?

these are so untrue at the moment, UGA has not closed application process and is not speaking to anyone, I know personally. Watts is to ETSU and VIG to Princeton, but Beth Sullivan is not talking with Stanford.
You need to reconsider your sources.
UGA is done and hired.
who???

Hopefully not Whitlock he is the biggest A$$ in the NAIA a cheat and a hot headed jerk. Putnam is class act but has very very little experience coaching track. Neither seem like a good fit...
