Sad to see so many over qualified coaches fighting over $45k jobs ($36k after taxes). Crazy how much of a dog fight this profession for so very few well paying (net over 80k I think) jobs.

Jeff Pigg is at UNF
Van Alstyne is at UNC
That's all I know for now. Other jobs are so freshly open, so I doubt they have decisions.

Track and Field is a money sinkhole. I don't know why people expect it to pay well.
Coaching Track on the college level is not a good profession...little job security, low pay, tough hours, hanging on the decisions of administrators who don't like/care/or understand the sport. Be warned!
If Pigg is now at UNF, who might replace him at UGA?
It should take around 3-4 weeks for a distance coach to be hired at UGA. expecting at least 60-80 calls wanting interviews.
this post has great truth to it - we are all glutons for punishment
3-4 weeks? no way they would wait that long. They will already of had their first meet.
See the post above. You think anyone at UGA cares about Cross? They are busy making sure they have everything ready for the big money boosters at the first home football game. "Oh, ya...just tell those skinny runner people to keep running in the woods and stay out of the way. We will get to it when we get to it. Now, check to see if the hedges are trimmed, the parking is shaded, and the caterer knows to have everything ready at least an hour before kick off!"
How about some new information on the jobs up for grabs. Someone must know something. Any new info on event groups OUTSIDE of distance???
Tell me any school that cares more about xc than football. Uganda is no different than any place. Find a way for xc or track to make millions and that changes. Until then the sport does not matter .

We all know this! This thread is not for people thinking about maybe being a coach, but rather people desparate to have better coaching jobs. This thread is worshiped by those. Every midmajor coach has this thread memorized. Good luck ya all!
Bump to keep on front page
You are right. Sorry to get off task. I do understand and I'm actually watching and waiting myself. You are also right to use "desparate". Back to the openings....
The Iowa position has been postponed. Email was sent out to all applicants.
What are these goofballs at Northeastern waiting for? Coach "retires" announced on May 30 and it has been over two months. Ridiculous. There should be good interest in this job. School vacation doesn't happen for college administrators.
2 months of not having to pay salary or benefits equals money saved.

You just described 90% of the jobs in America today.
so where did Chris Asher end up if the CSULA job is open?
So apparently Jacob Stewart has left Purdue, can any one lend some insight on this?
