Didn't they have a female on staff this past year that is no longer listed? I would think that is who is leaving? She is a female, either got out of coaching, or moved on to a better job. Although the women are worse than the men....

UNC distance - Mark Van Alstine
I don't believe this
Gauson recruited several exceptional internationals at Butler. A group that improved to and included all-americans, sub 4 minute milers, sub 8 minute 3000m guys. He's one of the best recruiters in the NCAA and works TIRELESSLY! Problem with Butler is the academic restrictions which stopped them bagging Fustum Zeinselassie. He will be a great head coach
Whether you believe it or not is irrelevant, but thanks for letting us know.

My response has nothing to do with how good of a recruiter Gauson is. I am sure he is a fantastic recruiter and coach. But, academic restrictions were not the reason Futsum isn't running for Butler.
Butler was 4th in the NCAA when Joe Franklin coached there. They have never been close to being as good since he left. I don't see how this makes him a good recruiter. If so, is he a bad coach?
Also, don't they primarily recruit kids from England? They go to Butler because there are other kids from England there not recruiting.
I am not saying he is not capable of doing a great job for whatever job you are talking about but calling him one of the best recruiters in the NCAA is laughable.
Surprised the Brojos haven't jumped all over NC A&T for hiring a drug cheat as their new head coach.

Your welcome Anonymous Letsrun Rumor Starter. Since you're in the know, when is the big announcement then? And are UNC and North Florida aware of any of this?
It is simply stunning to me that a convicted drug cheat can get a job as a collegiate coach. Must be a bunch of clowns in charge at NC A&T.
Ross was coached by Trevor Graham and was later called to testify against him as part of the BALCO scandal. He received a two-year ban for attempted use, possession and trafficking of performance-enhancing drugs, as recently as 2010 and all the stuff in his bio after 2001 should be negated.

Didn't the head coach at Kennesaw get banned too when he was a competitor? I think his name is on the list.
Why would Erin Dawson leave Arizona for Ole Miss? Did she get forced out at Arizona? Who is Gavin Kennedy and what has he ever done? His group of seniors at Illinois did worse than the season before (conference xc).
Anyone want to discuss jobs? Maybe something other than distance.
Yes who is replacing Lonnie Green at Arkansas as women's sprint coach?

He did, slightly different level and issues involved from Ross. It's well publicized and he admitted fault. Not sure about Ross.

Anybody know what is going on at Portland State? Where is Kevin Jeffers going?
I'm also curious about the Colorado State opening?
Any info would be great.
Jeffers to Concordia University. Good fit as he is a former NAIA athlete, regionally based,

And all of the 'convicted' ones (there was a trial with due process, I missed that) should never get employed to coach but it is fine to have the much larger-in-number coaching because you just do not know?
I suspect that someone in that 'convicted' category is on a shorter leash with provisions in the contract related to doping that may make them a better risk than many of the not-known group that you might hire instead.
Any possibilty that Penn st. sprint coach Chris Johnson makes a return to Arkansas?

He is still guilty whether he admitted or not.
Rock Light to TCU for jumps
This woukld be a good fit for this high energy coach.

One guy is listed with "Elevated T/E Ratio and 19-norandrosterone" and the other is listed with "Conspiracy and cover-up".
I'm not saying either are not guilty, I'm just distinguishing, there's a HUGE difference.
