Victor Huston wasn't around Iowa enough to do a great job. It was all Jamaicans and no coaching.

Haven't seen John without Beth very much in Eugene so I'm calling BS on him to Illinois.

I heard Davenport was headed east and nowhere near Lubbock.

Yes, Weir's contract ended and was not renewed. Vin Lananna moving out of the Head position and Robert Johnson is going to be named Head Coach at Oregon.

Interesting, since they are a distance school - so why no distance head? And is Johnson looking seriously at other programs? Did Oregon make him an offer he couldn't refuse? What is going on?

Curious to see how this plays out with Texas Tech. Wondering if Compton and Grimes are even willing to leave their current positions, I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Very curious about that one also. Grimes would be an instant fit, but unlikely guy. He has it made in Nebraska, and will be the new head coach the moment Peppin steps down. Compton however may not have the same security or status. Tech could be the lifeline in a potentially dismantled Arkansas women's team. If Tech wants someone to primarily focus on vaulting, and vaulting only then Compton might be the key hire. Some of the best vault coaches in college are volunteer, so most schools typically don't have to pony up.

What has O'neal ever done? All he did at Florida was get constantly shuffled around until he was coaching only 2 women long jumpers.

Sarah Haveman from Purdue to Dayton? Who was arguing earlier that it is not easier for women to get jobs? She went from college right to a Big Ten job, and in less than two years is a head coach for cross country. Yeah I know it is Dayton, but still...

It's quiet here in Texas. Usually word of mouth gets around with news like this. As far as volunteer college coaches, there are some good ones out there. I wonder how long it will be before Texas Tech hires a replacement.

Who can they get in so close to the start of the year? Heard gondak is on the shortlist but who else.. Are kennedys international recruits going to stick with the Orange!!

So the kid Sunquist, who ETSU was going to make head coach, has disappeared off the coaches roster. Word on the street a while ago was that Morton was preferred by the administration. Anyone know what's up with the head coach position, or even where they are with getting a distance coach?
