Who's in line for the sprints jobs at georgetown, columbia, and oklahoma?
no worries. You'll find a job. I think Stanford's a bit overrated and an expensive area to live anyways. I will be finished with the work I have to do in Palo Alto by the end of the year and glad I'll be able to live anywhere my husband goes.
Who will Miltenberg hire as his distance assistant?
Patti Sue is out. Maybe a young guy to take up recruiting while he directs the program?
Who's got the connection?

If you just look at the website you will see that Miltenberg hired Garrett Heath as an assistant distance coach.
Columbia hired Reuben Jones as the Jumps/Sprints coach their so now Brown has a void.
Oklahoma isn't looking for an assistant sprints coach they lost their Multi/Throws Coach to Clemson so they are looking for a throws/multi coach[quote]Palo Altoid wrote:
Stanford got their TOKEN. He better be the "best" like Milty says cause, it ain't Bowling Green or Ashland.
Little help? TIA.
Sounds like a bitter applicant, the kid was at Georgetown with Milt and did a great job, learn how to read and be happy for the guy.
Yeah be happy for the guy, not a lot of Black coaches get the opportunity to be a great institutions like Stanford.

Their last head coach was black. They also previously had Robert Weir as an associate head coach. Like Romney said... "I've got 5 boys. I'm used to people saying something that's not always true but just keep repeating it and ultimately hoping I'll believe it,".

Token my ass. Do your homework, get your facts straight, and be sure you take off your white hood to make sure you've got a clear view while you're at it... idiot. The guy got it done in his area which couldn't help but be overshadowed by the distance juggernaut that is Georgetown.
http://www.guhoyas.com/sports/w-xctrack/mtt/stewart_jody00.html"During the 2012 outdoor season, Stewart coached four athletes to Olympic Trial qualifying marks. Both Amanda Kimbers and London Finley participated in the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials. Kimbers competed in the 100-meter dash after achieving the automatic standard by running 11.25 and setting a new school record. Finely competed in the Olympic Trials after achieving the provisional mark of 56.67 in the 400-meter hurdles, which was also a new school record. Biyerem Okengwu and Toby Ulm also achieved Olympic Trial qualifying standards. Okengwu achieved the U.S. provisional standard by running 13.98 in the 110-meter hurdles. Ulm a Great Britain native, achieved his countries provisional standard in the 400-meter hurdles with a mark of 50.89."
"For Stewart, the 2012 outdoor season also included other outstanding performances. Finely achieved All-America honors after being a finalist in the NCAA 400-meter hurdles and being a part of the NCAA qualifying 4x400-meter relay team. Finley also won the BIG EAST Championship and broke the BIG EAST Conference record in the 400-meter hurdles. The women's 4x400-meter relay consisting of Tenille Stoudenmire, Finley, Chelesea Cox, and Kimbers had an unprecedented season by running the fastest outdoor 4x400-meter relay in 10 years at 3:35.8. The quartet went on to achieve Second Team All-America honors after participating in the NCAA Championship and winning the 2012 BIG EAST 4x400-meter conference title. Kimbers' outstanding performance at the BIG EAST Championship led her to a second-place finish in the 200 meters and a new school record of 23.28. Additionally, the sprints group had five athletes compete in the NCAA preliminary round and eight athletes who received All-BIG EAST Outdoor honors. Stewart coached the men's 4x400-meter relay to their fastest time in 10 years at 3:09.4. "
Sounds like a good token hire!!!
This whole staff doesn't seem like a staff that belongs at a PAC 12 school and especially a former national powerhouse like Stanford.
Show the young guy some love or walk away. If Miltenberg or Floreal did not want you thats a personal problem, take a good look in the mirror and deal with it. I wish stanford and their new staff the best.
Now back to the open jobs...

This is not a quote worth highlighting...he called his sons pathological liars smh. Plus u proved the guy/gal point which states not many are black....never states that NONE were black....keep up!
Do "great guys and good coaches" make a practice out of convincing the parents of an 18 yr old female athlete that he will be a positive influence to their daughter if they trust him as her coach, when all the while he's just looking for another conquest? Sorry, but I think, when your married and a University trusts you to be in charge of young athletes, and you abuse your power for your own gratification, I don't see any good there. He's crossed the line as was said before. I don't see where someone like that can ever help the sport move forward.
Good Lord, give it a rest already with this guy. We get it. You people have made your point. If you have a problem with this person, show a little courage and take it up with him instead of slandering him on the message board.
Better yet, wish him well in the future and hope he has learned from his mistakes made in the past. No one ever knows all the circumstances in relationships as it surely is more complicated than you're making it out to be. Let God be the judge.
If there are no more jobs, maybe just shut this thread down until 2013...How 'bout just wishing people well going forward?
Oregon hires Michael Spence from Oklahoma. Martin Smith's ties to Eugene haven't run dry. Great opportunity for an awesome young coach! Wishing Michael the best!!
Applied at McKendree. Anyone know anything? Who's applied? Who's interested? Know why the previous coach left? Might be a good DII situation?
I've been hearing some rumors that Reedus Thurmond who was just hired at Illinois State as the Throws coach has recently resigned.
I'm not sure how accurate this is but I'm going to try and find out.
If that's what this thread wants, then I wish you well Michael.
