Not going to throw anyone under the bus. It is what it is. Make yourself more marketable and stop worrying about what other people are doing. End of story.

You make no sense what so ever. I am not a coach, I follow all sports and I follow this web site. I have a buddy who was a great coach and now he has been kicked aside for younger coaches. I just don't think it is fair what happened to him. He has won national championships, put athletes on the world list time after time, coached Olympians and has recruited great athletes.

Sorry for your friend but that's the business some times. You can think it is unfair, I agree that any good coach losing a job to anyone is unfair, young or old, but you can't desecrate all young coaches, not even 95% of them because this happened to your friend. Everyone has to start somewhere as did your friend when he started his career and you in yours.
Just have to take the lick and move forward. There's no need for your bad mouthing other people trying to pursue their dreams. That's life.

"Has" is not what people care about. "Is" is the important word. What you've done is much less important than what you are doing right now.
William Marquardt, runner from Univ. of San Francisco. Good young guy, just graduated from USF though, so I don't know how he'll pan out as a coach, but he is a solid, straight-shooting dude in person. I think he should do well.

Eastern New Mexico? What is going on at that DII school. Coach quit about 3-4 weeks ago. Who they bringing in and who is interviewing? I won't ask again!

What are trying to say? Is this the new ENMU coach? No press release on it. Applicants are still being accepted on their website apparently.
Any moves made today?
keeping it real, with real news.
Im my paper this morning:
Coastal Carolina- Timothy Vaught- new Associate Head Track and Field Coach
Manhattan- Bridgette Ingram- new Assistant Track and Field Coach
Any comments ?
Word out of Gtown is that they have their coach. Source I spoke with heard secondhand and was totally unfamiliar with the new coach so it doesn't sound like it's a big name, but who knows.
University of Miami open positions-
Jumps
Throws
Director of Operations
Miami throws filled
where did miami's old throws coach go and who took her spot?
Anyone know who Notre Dame College is hiring for assistant position? I've noticed a lot of turnover in the past few years.
Who ever the new coach is at Miami trust they won't be a coach of color (African Amerrcian) and definitely won't be a woman. As far as the jumps goes it will be someone with NOT much experience and again will NOT be of color unless they have stoked Deems ego in the past, especially if they ANY exsperience in the sprints or hurdles. She is petrified of anyone that may know as much or more then her in those areas. Tick toc your on the clock coach Deem......
Nice post. Very articulate and clear...You were fired because your coaching is even worse than your writing.

Banse was hired in 2011 and returned to admin in 2012.
The new throws coach was hired over this summer (2012).
WTF is going on at PSU (aside from the revelations of Sandusky's kiddie fiddling and the associated fallout)?
Their longest-serving track coach (Hardyk) is gone. Johnson (arguably the most successful recently) is gone. Banse (good results for only a year of work) lasted just a year.
Banse was a temporary stand in for the position, as was my understanding, after TJ Crater left for Washington late in the fall last year. Andy did a really nice job at keeping the good things going that TJ had established. But he was never hired to be the new full time coach at least from what I was told.
