Minnesota AA 800m champ Eric Gebeke has given a verbal commitment to run for Notre Dame next fall. Plays football and basketball, but runs outdoor (1:53.39, 49.55) at White Bear Lake. He will run all 3 seasons next year.

Brannon Kidder has not committed to any school as of yet.

"Chooses" Notre Dame over Stanford? Harvard?
No one chooses a Notre Dame over two of the most prestigious schools in the country unless they didn't have the grades and standard test scores and / or the coach wouldn't sponsor the athlete.
So, fine, say she chose ND, but don't make the foolish statement she chose ND "over" prestige schools like Stanford and Harvard. It just makes one look foolish.

Track and field news ranks Harvard men's recruiting class fifth in the country. Do you have the names of any other Harvard recruits?
Wow, how many times have we heard this PR bull from Harvard. They have variously had the biggest recruiting class in history, three year ago, the best middle distance recruit, last year, a Brit, and so much more hype, year-in and year-out.
Guess what? Last year, their XC team was one spot away from the cellar at HEPS, their most important meet, and their entire season can only be described as disastrous. That pretty much characterizes Harvard for the past five years.
They could recruit the best runners in the country, the fact remains they never do anything with them. At least, from what I can see.
Am I wrong?
Nope. She chose ND over Georgetown and Harvard. She is the Gatorade National Cross Country athlete of the year and her grades and test scores are at the very top of the range. She could have gone to either. She chose ND. She comes from a ND family. She grew up a Domer. When somebody makes blanket statements about someone they do not know or when they make such statements without full information, it makes one look foolish.
Any of Florida's commits going to other schools as a result of coaching change?

OK. Sorry for the incorrect interpretation. My humble apologies. Kudos to Seidel for choosing Notre Dame based on family affinity. Best wishes. God bless.
Wize Old Man, thumbs up on the own up. And normally i would agree with you. Stanford and Harvard obviously great schools but ND has this strange pull (you either love/hate em), especially in the midwest.
