Lalang's not posting here. You give the impression you've done better than Levins on fewer miles so I'd like to know if that's true.
No, I haven't. If you want to misconstrue what I say to make it fit into your own delusional agenda, at least admit it.

You're the only one here who keeps suggesting such a thing.
Closer inspection of the thread would help.
So what WAS your point? The kid busts his tail and achieves things that few of us ever will and you make some comment about Lalang running 50 miles a week or something. Are you suggesting that Levins would have won NCAAs if he'd sone what Lalang did? Have you achieved so much with your own running that a 4th at NCAAs and a Canadian championship don't impress you? Or are you just some guy who's never really put everything into your own running and feels the need to justify that by dismissing the achievements of others who have put everything into their running?
Why are you still posting here gotta say it? Everyone hates you, no one is backing up your ridiculous comments, and you clearly aren't Lawi, Chris, or Leonard (or anyone that matters) so you have no right to belittle an incredible performance. Screw off.

If you knew either of them, you would realize you couldn't have 2 more different examples of a runner. Baumgartner was riddled with injuries (why he quit early) and only managed to work up to 60 mpw the week before NCAA's that year. That 3rd place was literally a modern-day miracle.
Couldn't be more true. Jessen was also like 24 as a 4th year Senior. That year at NCAAs was real muddy, everybody was still in the race late and there was kind of a jumbled finish. He came out of nowhere and hardly had to train for it.
i have a feeling we might be seeing levins on the "loss of coordination in leg" thread in 2-3 years. with that said, his accomplishments are incredible and inspiring and i would do the same
I wouldn't call the 2006 finish jumbled. Jesson beat Rupp by 10 seconds and Lomong by 6 who were both in the top 10 that year. Yes, with a mile to go there was still a big pack, but it spread out quite a bit. And I wouldn't say that he didn't have to train for that race, I think the muuddy course made everyone a little worried about taking the pace out and blowing up, which gave him a chance to surprise some guys he was not expected to beat.

Oh cool, I learn something new at LR every day. Today's lesson = lots of running causes loss of leg coordination.

I think you misinterpreted what I meant by jumbled, because the way you just explained the race, I completely agree with you.

I've repeated my point quite a few times.
Less vitriol and more reading on your part may help you figure it out.
If you reread my posts and still fail to see the point, I'll try explaining it to you again.

Because... because.....
I love you...
Ok. Do that.
13:42 and comes back with a 7:48 the next day winning in a big kick. The legend grows!
My obligatory "cam is from my conference" blog: http://happyrunnings.blogspot.com/2012/01/cam-levins.html
Levins is becoming the kind of guy they write folk songs about.
Oh the legend lives on from Black Creek on down,
the myth of Cameron H Levins.
Training full bore,
a hundred miles maybe more,
the myth of Cameron H. Levins.
Levins wins nacac XC. After this and last week I want to hear from the pundits again. Feel free to change usernames.
Great for Cam, but who that is any good actually ran in the meet - CL and Landry are the only ones of note.
Why is it that the US (the women were pathetic) doesn't bother with this meet? This doesn't take away from what he has done, amazing year - hopefully he continues it outdoors as well.

It's funny, last night I was reading the latest issue of Canadian Running magazine; there's a tiny one-liner mention about Levins finishing 3rd in the NCAA indoor 3000m, under a big article about the new track Guelph is getting. In their next issue, I hope they make him the frickin man of the year!!!!!
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
