Dude, I'm absolutely convinced that this high mileage malarkey you read on here is an elaborate ruse by letsrun veterans looking to troll the casual hobby jogger stopping by...
Seriously - run 40 or 50 miles a week and your 5k time will go through the floor will it? Run 7 miles a day for weeks on end then try running a hard 5k the next day! I'm telling you right now - no way are you beating your pb cause your absolutely knackered!!
If you run 7 miles a day for 30 days straight on the 31st day your legs will have adapted to the mileage, your average pace will have increased, you will realize that 50 miles a week is a joke and you will crush a 5k like you never thought possible.
Do you have experience and proof?
7 miles, 7 days a week is 49 miles a week
No off days?
