Did you mean that you try to run 5.40 pace on most runs with long runs at 6.20? Or, am I just confused?
By the way, great race in Kenosha and good luck at Balboa Park.

No he probably meant 6:40 and 6:20.
Some people like to do their long runs faster to make it a tougher workout. Plus the time goes by much better.
Addison has to have the worst track PRs of any qualifier. But he has improved leaps and bounds since he ran those last spring. Look for him to be a 4:20/9:15 guy this spring. His speed will be coming around as well.
Ill think of something for bangalada. I agree, Im sure everyone in this field has broken 4:30
Congrats on qualifying! I'd like to know, what do you do for your tempo runs? And do you run 6 days or 7 days a week?
I tend to run 7 days a week/I usually take a day off after feelling rundown. As for the tempo runs, I follow Daniel's running.
How far is your long run? And do you run doubles or only singles?
So you run 70 miles a week?
Man...great endurance...I ran a 4:25 1600m as a soph and could only get down to a 16:25 5K as a senior...I was more of a speed guy I think - ran a 1:56 800m and 52 400m as a junior...

yes rod is my dad and I am a sophmore this year. My prs are 4:30/9:42.
this summer I ran mid 60s for mileage with a high of 71 in mid september. I tryto run at least 6.40 pace on most runs. Long runs are at around 6.20
What's your goal at FL bro? Top 25?
I haven't check this in a while but I did run 70 miles a week about 9 times between August and October. Also I ran 69 miles the week before FL Regional.
Here have been my workouts since the regional.
Fartlek of
4x30 seconds w/1 min recovery runs (pace around 7 flat)
2x3min w/3min recovery runs
4x1min w/1min recovery runs
2x3mins w/3min recovery runs
at a local golf course
4 mile tempo at 2.0 gradeon the treadmill (getting used to running in warmer weather again) 5:15 5:15 5:15 5:05
Fartlek of 7x2mins on/off
up and down the only hills in eastern south dakota
for my goal for footlocker. Top 25, if everything goes well I might get in the top 20. time wise I really don't a have a good guess but looking at past results a 15:35 or faster would be alright

Good luck Addison! Enjoy the atmosphere!
Good luck Addison! As a curious high schooler myself, I was just wondering how far and how fast you do a long run during winter/summer base?
Nice job dude, your crazy good. Cant wait to race you in track. Nice job at San Diego... any tips for a freshman distance runner?
