There's been talk of favorite sodas and beers lately, but I'm wondering if anyone else gets specific food cravings during certain training stages.
Whenever my mileage goes up during base-building, I tend to reach for something salty (like sunflower seeds or big pretzels, but not chips). Also, I seem to crave certain pasta-bean dishes and I'm turned off by meat. One of my favorites is a big bowl of homemade pasta fagioli.
When I switch to more speed work and racing, my preferences change again. My overall diet doesn't change that much, but there are these shifts. Anybody else notice this?
