BYU is very good. Strong contenders for the national title they are NOT. No way. They have a shot at a podium finish if they have a very good day.

Lafler is finally starting to hint at fulfilling his potential. He ran 9:43 as a hs sophomore (3rd ranked sophomore in the nation that year), and 4:21 as a hs freshman.
I ran 9:48 as a junior (went unnoticed nationally and did not make it to the state meet with that time). When am I going to hit my potential? I ran in the Notre Dame meet 17 yrs. ago. Maybe this year will be the year for me.

In actuality, Catholics protected/preserved science during the various wars/battles so that it was in tact for use in the industrial era. Their philosophical tradition is rooted in the natural sciences. The only reason that there was a controversy with Galileo was because he was claiming things that the technology of the day could not yet prove. Also, errors have been found on in his results, but his method for arriving at those results.
