What German's career helps show (along w/ past examples) is an olympic talent needs to chose the very, very best college programs. If they don't, then there's a little 'playing craps' uncertainty. (For those who like arguing just to argue): Not saying German's injuries are necessarily the coach's fault, or that they wouldn't have happened @ Oregon. But w/ those elite programs, they have the most 'practice' w/ handling stars. Plus, those elite programs have other pro talents. In other words, %'s are more favorable @ an Oregon vs other good, but not great programs.
